It's really not, she promoted it coming out on streaming services like a week ago, after is was already on YouTube, only for it not to come out after the countdown...  and she did a live with fans where she said she is still on "Haitus" but wanted to support her country.

She did something similar before the release of SFG which was a #1 hit. Like, she's fine, this isn't some massive single and not a song most of her fans are crying out for.

Like, I heard the song a week or two ago on Youtube and, while Nicki ate her verse, I'm not going to go and stream the song again on streaming platforms when the song itself is not my taste.

saying she already promoted it just actually makes it worse :franminervini:

mother, what must i do?

It doesn't :smh:

It was on Youtube with 600k views for over a week, advertised as dropping with a countdown (and then it not dropping) a couple days later and then was randomly dropped over a week later.

Her fanbase isn't here for Dancehall, they listened to her verse and then clocked out. The first 24 hours of a song dropping is the most crucial for it's "success". This song, with a small time artist from Trini, that was supposed to drop days ago, was pre-faced by Nicki herself as a song she's just making to shout out her country and that she's still in Haitus, was never supposed to be a smash hit.

I listened to it a few times on Youtube because I enjoyed her verse and now I haven't listened to it once on any streaming platforms because I've heard it and I'm not a fan of Trinidad Killa? It's not going to have replay value for a significant portion of her fans, I'm going to be streaming other Nicki songs.

Like I said, check Brian Newman's streams for his track with Gaga. It's not going to be giving Die With a Smile numbers.

You all stay so ready to try and humiliate a successful black woman but each time you all approach it from such a white perspective.

The idea of Nicki throwing out a cute verse for her home country, in the lead up to Carnival, with an artist from Trinidad that is unknown outside the country being twisted for some lame ass "gag" is honestly embarrassing.

She did the same thing in 2023 with Shake the Place with a similar performance in terms of streaming numbers and then went on to have the biggest selling female rap tour of all time.

Let the woman do something that's relevant to celebrating her cultural roots, not everything has to be designed to have millions of streams on the first day
