All I can think about is at that time Madonna was releasing Hard Candy and MDNA, awful albums, while Gaga was peak artistry with TF/TFM/BTW. Thank goodness she redeemed herself with Rebel Heart.

More than a decade has passed but we'll never have full insight into this feud. 

As time goes on, I'm more certain they never had a problem with each other but used the feud to sell concert tickets, promote the documentary, etc.

I know that Madonna is a Democrat supporter and so I just can't bring myself to support her/anyone she supports until she apologies to Gaga. That's why I've voted Republican since 2012.

The moment I saw Madonna endorse Kamala Harris via Instagram was the moment I decided to vote Trump. 

I refuse to support Madonna or anybody affiliated with her until she publicly apologies to Gaga and pays reparations

More like Madonna assumed Gaga was going to be a flash in the pan and didn't see her as a real threat at the beginning. But then she kept getting hits, tour success, praise, Grammys and getting bigger and bigger and when her fans started calling her the queen of pop, the gloves were off. Madonna has always seen her fellow female singers as rivals. Any who she tried to be friends with (Britney, Christina) were just temporary moments for PR. The negative things she's said about women over the years is many and varied, especially those who were in direct competition with her at the time and stealing media and public attention that she felt she deserved. She's not said anything against female singers ever since the whole Gaga debacle and it could be she's finally realised that this bitterness is not a good look on her, hence why she tried to make it up to Gaga by taking that pic with her on Oscars night. Gaga being the kind soul she was, went along with it but nothing more was ever said or done together again, so I like to think she just gave her a wide berth after that.

Madonna's just going to have to accept that Gaga has stood the test of time and has (and will) match/better some of her achievements. In future, it's best to just keep your mouth shut before publicly dissing someone as you're only going to look foolish if they stick around.
