oheyitso 2,675
I just finished re-watching Gaga: Five Foot Two - it's probably the first time I've watched since the year it came out (I watched multiple times that year though) and I thought this documentary was even better watching now than when I first watched! Do you want another doc? Some of my thoughts re-watching: It won an MTV and NME award, and I think it explores so many interesting parts of the Joanne/Super Bowl era - that I now think that those years were way more chaotic and hard for Gaga than anything during ARTPOP. Seeing Gaga be so candid about her relationship troubles with Taylor, to then being in sessions writing Perfect Illusion and Million Reasons - it seems obvious to me this was a really hard time for Gaga mentally. I feel like Joanne as an album and era potentially feels a bit all-over-the-place is because Ga was, and I think she was latching onto the other thing she thought she had (her family and their roots) in a time where she was losing who she thought was the love of her life, and was struggling with her artistic direction. In hindsight, it's really impressive how she managed to still have such a career high - seeing Joanne, an album which isn't her usual sound or in her usual style, going Number 1 is HUGE. Plus, watching her find out she'll be in A Star Is Born is insane to watch happen in real-time now-knowing the massive success it was. Other highlights: seeing her relationship with Mark Ronson, and Bobby "thank you for staying with me", Taylor giving her flowers on Super Bowl day, not being recognised in Target asking if her album was stocked, AHS, Madonna quote, "MOMMMYYYY", etc, etc. I loved seeing such a raw and vulnerable side to her, and the doc is produced so excellently, it makes me really want another one. My only hesitation is I can't image how it must've felt filming the doc while having such a difficult time in her life. Super brave! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S BEEN 7 YEARS SINCE IT CAME OUT TOO AHHH Edited Thursday at 09:06 PM by oheyitso Tiktok: owenbybush 1

SHALLOW 16,080
FF2 was all centered around the Superbowl, Joanne and her fybro. Hopefully the next one will tell us more about Gaga in general. Thing is artists only do docs to promote new albums but i would love one for Mayhem, before her long hiatus

Nessun Dorma 2,585
I would love another documentary, but I don’t see her opening her personal life the way she did anymore. Maybe a documentary with another approach, less intimate, about Mayhem’s creation process and production, for example. But anything that involves Gaga will have my attention
