F*ck Yeah Lady Gaga Tumblr

I've considered myself a Gaga super fan since the iconique VMA performance, but I'd never really delved into the online fan communities surrounding her #fakemonster

There was a huge trend back in the day () for making fan accounts on tumblr called "f*ck yeah person's name" and I stumbled upon an account dedicated to Gaga. They'd post news and ~cool tumblr edits~ (so much topaz filter lmao) and it just opened up the world of online fandom to me, and encouraged me to learn how to use photoshop and make my own gifs.

Without that tumblr account I would never have been so riddled with pop culture brain worms and stan brain rot, and I think they were the ones that exposed me to GGD in the first place back in the day too  

Idk what their relationship to GGD was or if anyone here was part of the blog itself - but I'm just feeling nostalgic and wondering if anyone else has fond memories of that blog in particular, or the Gaga fan community on tumblr in general

there is still a troll account from back in the day called paws down little monsters who used to be on tumblr and now is on instagram from a Madonna stan (of course) that is obsessed with Gaga and watches everything she does and compares everything to what Madonna has done.

My favorite Tumblr-era Gaga blog was @badboywithsomeretrosneakers what a cool name lol  Remember when Gaga herself had a Tumblr for a hot minute there?

 

Oh another iconic Tumblr moment was after Gaga performed Born This Way live on TV with a big inflatable latex belly and afterbirth glitter everywhere (yas) the singer from one of my favorite metalcore bands, Dead and Divine, got on his Tumblr and posted this huge bitter rant about how only gimmicks get famous (duh thats why people do them, another word for "gimmick" is "interesting performance") and he lit'rally broke up his band and quit that very day, so shooketh he was by Gaga's plastic belly performance

Yesss, I remember stalking a few Gaga stan pages before finally making my own Tumblr. FYLG and My Life is Gaga are two of the first blogs I followed on there. I remember being moots with the boy who originally had the amenfashion url and how Tumblr forced him to change it so Gaga could have it  We loved it, though. It was an iconic moment
