"Abracadabra" defo means "I create as I speak" here cause that's what she does by creating this pop song. But maybe she chosen this word for it's double-entendre, because why not ? Yeah the duality between good and evil is evident. The evil force embodied by Lady Mayhem represents the pressure that Gaga is subjected to, by herself and her audience. I feel like yeah Lady Mayhem tries to corrupt the Gaga in white and yeah maybe she's possessed at a the beggining. But she frees herself at the end when she screams. The pure character ends up triumphing and establishes her own laws and moves by beating this evil force. The "chose the west side" part is a Christian ref and they didn't even mentionned it. The whole point of this MV is that the Gaga in white is pure and she keeps repeating to chose the right side. By the right side I think she means that she shouldn't be too hard on herself and she should follow her own creativity. I feel like they struggled to make this one cohesive. I'm assuming the author of Vigilant Citizen isn't pagan, or actually incorporates magick (not magic) into his daily life, no, just a christian who just believes in the bible and nothing else.
