Gaga's a big commercial pop star, not an indie artist like Ethel Cain. She's critiqued capitalism, but her attitude has always been best illustrated in the lyrics of The Fame, as in like, yeah, she see it's pitfalls, but she's going for it anyway, lol, which I argue is an it's own authenticity. It's kind of like when people get mad about like the environment and the damage Apple is doing to it, but yet, we tend to type these critiques on iphones and macbooks. That's why she's not my main fave anymore. After she sold herself with that Dead Aunt album when it was supposed to be a glam pop album. Björk, my main fave, would NEVER do this. Would never water down her album just to make it more successful, that's a true ARTIST full of ARTISTRY something Gaga was almost getting back again but gave in for the numbers. This is MY fave Gaga: I try to sell myself but I am really laughing Because I just love the music, not the bling Music, not the bling And so you know, as soon as the album is out on Apple Music, I deleting that bullshit track from the album and keeping it as the stand alone single it was intended to be before it was a huge hit. **** the charts, bless artistry. cachapatratorian 434
We're talking about a song with an apocalyptic theme, where the world is about to end and you want to die with that special someone with a smile on your face and there are people who think the song is not dark enough to be part of Mayhem?

Die With a Smile is a adult contemporary-ish pop track. The album so far has a dark, industrial electropop sound from the 2000s, so I does not fit the album musically. Unless she's remixing the track to fit the album but that would ruin the sales so guess is not happening. And before someone mentions Brown Eyes, Speechless, Dope, etc. again, let me remind you these tracks do sound like the "slowing down" part of an album like is pretty common. If she put DWAS on the end is because she couldn't artistically fit it in the album so is a "bonus track". I wouldn't doubt the album sounds cohesive with the 13 tracks and the last one like it's not part of it. Judas is coming, let the cultural baptism begin. Is it the 0th single from Mayhem bc she said Disease was the first? That’s not possible. It’s just the lead single, period, simply bc August comes before October - and that’s not a whack on how great Disease is. Why is it so hard to understand. Disease is the first single, Abracadabra is the second, Die With A Smile was a standalone single now included on the album.

Lil1th 205
If a song gets popular artists will usually add it to the album if it's releasing in the near future, this isn't a new practice, It's like how when a collab comes out, does well and both artists adds it to their albums. Doesn't matter if it was originally supposed to be there or not, it is there now so... I think it would have been a mistake if she hadn't included it, it was/is a huge hit. It's funny this is something people actually cares about, it's a non issue. Edited February 24 by lil1th DJ Hit the lightsss 2

The song wasn't meant to be included to an album but she recorded it and included it to BTW after people demands. I'm sure DWAS fits the album as a closure.
