Mr S

He's probably not lying, he just doesn't know the whole story.

Gaga was dumb for talking about it. She shouldn't have said anything. They should have waited until the final decision was made.

Either way it's water under the bridge. DWAS is proving to not be only hit off the album. It won't carrying the album.

My god...

Why wouldn't she add DWAS to the album? You'd have to be stupid not to. If she didn't originally as the album was shaping up last summer, then why shouldn't she have pivoted? To impress annoying people online? That would be stupid and pointless. Anyone whining about it needs to get a life. I'm speaking of people here, the whiners on popjustice, stan twitter freaks etc.

So many inconsistencies and history revisionism. First it was said to be a standalone single. Gaga posts “xx October: LG7 first single”. Then Gaga says DWAS was the “missing piece” to LG7. Now they’re saying it was always meant to be in the album?

It’s fine they wanted it on Mayhem, but just stop trying to find a reason and keep changing the story.

Why is this fanbase ALWAYS up Gaga's ass about something?

Jesus christ, the music industry is a business, and she's selling a record. She co-wrote and produced a song with Bruno during the production of Mayhem and she decided to add it to the album. Just like every other song that she wrote and produced during the production of Mayhem. Additionally, every album she's made has had a piano-driven ballad on it, regardless of the album's tone/vibe.

Why do you guys find an issue EVERY album cycle? It's annoying as f*ck :littlepotter:

I have absolutely no issue whats so ever with DWAS being included in fact I think its smart. And yes we all know music is a business too

What i dont like is the dishonesty. Just admit the truth and it wouldnt be that big of a deal. It was a big hit and much more well received than anticipated so we changed our minds and decided to include it in the album

Thats literally all they had to say and the majority of people would have been fine with that. We get plans change

But trying to push the narrative now that it always the plan when she so directly said otherwise and refered to Disease as the lead is an insult to the fans intelligence and ppl just dont like dishonesty period. Thats the issue

A Very Gaga Holida

I don’t care if it’s true or not (seems like it’s not). It was recorded at the same time as MAYHEM so in the same spirit, and it fits PERFECTLY with Disease and Abra :tony:

This is why Bruno Mars said "Thank you Lady Gaga" at the grammys :cheeky:

not exactly related but i was thinking today that it would be nice if Gaga released a visualizer for DWAS, or a (MAYHEM Version) music video. :enigma:

It would be all in black and white, like the Mayhem photoshoot with the black short wig, Bruno’s parts from the music video would be projected on a white wall (like the background on a photoshoot set) and Gaga would be sitting there posing and performing, and then she would perform her parts when they came. I think it would help give the song a more MAYHEM feel and she could bring a more dramatic rock energy to it. :shadow:

Chromatic, Chromatic, put your hands all over my colors.

Literally who cares. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn’t. None of us were privy to the discussions surrounding the album tracklist or were present during the recording process. You can think anything you want, however that does mean that it’s the objective reality of the situation. Just be grateful we’re getting a new album in less than two weeks.

Controversiaga

Very convenient for him to say this now

both Gaga and Bruno said it was not for LG7 when it dropped. So that’s the reality.
they added it on to guarantee her album success

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

yall be thankful gaga is going to have one number one song from mayhem, cuz idk if abra will hit number one and idk about the other stuff. stop hating on DWAS cuz its literally one of her most successful songs and objectively a showcase of her versatility and vocal abilities.

The gaslighting is wild with some of y'all.... she literally said it was a standalone single. Then, that it was the "missing piece" all along. aka, it wasn't meant for mayhem......and that's okay lol

Tbh they were still finishing MAYHEM and Bruno had nonplan for this song sooo... Not really

Let’s be real

the label said DWAS was getting like ab album treatment

gaga said herself it was a stand alone experince

check Instagram post Oct XX LG7 1sr single

let’s be real: without DWAS the TEA Numbers that accumulate to make the debut Numbers would be 1/4 of what it will be
