I could be wrong, but I think its the official photoshoot wig, right? Just coifed differently..

They are really recycling the unused promo plans for Chromatica  I still remember them saying that they planned the rollout as if Chroma was a big blockbuster movie... and now she's doing a press junket like they do for movies

You onto something! Unsure if it's the same wig/color but pretty much all the official visuals show short hair, the oficial cover also seems to be short hair, although, It might be a different wig:
