In defense of Jewels N' Drugs

My only complaint is there isn't enough of each section. I know the song was originally several songs mashed together but I'd love to hear each concept fleshed out and watch JnD become a 12 minute song  

Too Short is one of my favorite rappers, I'd love for the two of them to work together again some day

It's not a BAD song. A lot of the instrumental is really good. Her verse is really good. The young pancake chorus is a bit odd and it's kinda weird hearing her talk that way as a white girl who never showed that persona before. It's the weirdly disjointed random features that make it kinda messy, and their lyrics aren't that great either, almost like they were phoning it in. I guess ARTPOP as a whole is messy, even purposefully. It also kinda feels like the collaboration wasn't authentic and more transactional, because we never heard them speak of each other before and then never again after. Almost like she just went 'I need some rappers! Who can we get?'. But that's very assumptious. Maybe it's just not my type of music idk   it's not BAD

I think the instrumental is kind of fun (albeit dated)

and it's leagues better than Red Flame. lmao

The chorus is amazing

My only regret is that she doesn't end the song with "moneyyyy" like she did at the iTunes festival. To this day my brain still expects the song to do that and is surprised it doesn't

There’s a bit too much rap for my taste BUT the beat goes HARD and I looooove the “don’t want your jewels I want your drugs”, it’s like Abracadabra’s placenta

I absolutely love Jewels N Drugs. Prefer it to MANiCURE, ARTPOP, Swine, and Dope (sorry).

She seemed to be genuinely enjoying herself and having fun while performing it too
