Please, Mama, answer a question that gives you a chance to say something affirming and empowering to your LGBTQI — and particularly your trans — fans.

The question I submitted is so earnest and sentimental, but idccccc. Transitioning during the Trump era is the hardest thing I've ever done, and all I know is that her tiny little statement at the Grammys that we weren't invisible made me cry and has been a little buoy in my soul ever since then.

 

My question:

For so long, queer and trans people have looked to your music as a source of hope, strength, and inspiration. At this moment in our country, so many trans people are afraid and suffering from all the messages of hate and rejection coming from certain parts of our culture… What message do you have for your queer and trans fans right now? And what do you hope "MAYHEM" in particular might offer your LGBTQI Little Monsters, during this era of backlash and fear?

Tbh I'd always assumed things like this were staged and that the host just makes up generic questions that a lot of people would be asking, so that's why they only ask the most basic questions imaginable. Or maybe they pick someone at random but only let them choose between a few pre-approved questions

I HOPE they pick the most liked questions underneath the instagram post. That would be the thing to do.

It's been a thing for a while, it's actually uncool to say it now if you are talking with younger generation, the people who said it most likely are millennials and early gen z, like some of us here.

I must of heard it and subcontiously remembered it and thought I made it up 

 

When I was 14 in like 2007 (my name is Jesse) i said if i ever became famous my nick name would be "Jay-Z"

 

I legit thought i came up with the name and did not realize a famous person already had that name
