AgentPOP 72
ima say Joker, whoever taught that was a 'smart choice'... the majority of the first movies audience was a bunch of white str man, we all know that's her least popular demografic....
elegidadedios 279
If I have to stick to those "last 10 years" (2015-2025), obv Joker. Other than that, she always moved strategically speaking very well. If we opened the conversation to her entire career, I would say another move 1
killme89 1,352
I don’t think joker was a bad move at all even if it didn’t pay off. I’d say making a song with R Kelly was pretty bad lol 36

Noah 26,797
Probably the long gap of Studio records. Whether that meant not capitalizing on The Cures success (with a Joanne Deluxe ) , the goodwill after Shallow in 2019 or from 2021 onwards until DWAS in August of 2024. The long gaps are the worst move in her career, cause while we fans obviously want music and streaming services said that artists that release irregularly will not be favored by the algorithm, it may would've helped her legacy in general, to maybe have 1-2 more albums out. ⟡ ⋆ ˚。⋆🦢⋆ ˚。⋆⟡ 29
Nycboy 1,003
I think Joker had SO much promise so I can’t really fault her for the horrible script. It could have been like ASIB’s crazy twisted dark cousin. If I had to choose something, I’d probably say Stupid Love, the song and music video. It’s not a bad song or video, but I do find it a bit generic, with a lack of a strong POV, and not super Gaga-esque. It’s also quite immature but not in an exciting way like ARTPOP was. Easy to say that Disease + Abracadabra are 100000x better. It’s even hard to look back and think that the same person put out Stupid Love as a lead single.

Railing 2,565
Biased take: Not releasing anything for the 10th anniversary of ARTPOP Between the petitions, hashtags, clips of G.U.Y. trending, Brooklyn Nights gaining traction, articles & videos about how the album was ahead of its time, and the fact that Gaga wasn't releasing anything else that year, it felt like a golden opportunity. 33 1 1
Essence 196
Not necessarilly a move she can't remedy moving forward, but picking movies only directed by men that center a male figure her character is integrally attached to. Not sure if it's just because she's been a bit typecast (which is typical of Hollywood), but I would really love to see her branch out into female-led films where she explores dynamics that have nothing to do with a man. She deserves her A24 leading role moment and should make choices accordingly! 13 2

SevenWonder 4,092
Not releasing ARUTW as an official single. Would have been a top ten easily, if not number one. Honestly, ASIB could have been like Whitney's Bodyguard. With multiple singles smashing back to back. I'm not so sure about this one, but I also think Gypsy should have been the third single from ARTPOP. It would have been a refreshingly upbeat, anthemic song that might have done better than GUY (and I like GUY), which felt like a backward move at the time. 25
Illuminati 15,884
Hmmm, perhaps not embracing trends more. She had at least two viral singles - ARUTW and Bloody Mary that they could have done more with Edited 23 hours ago by Illuminati
rocketn9 26
Joker even tho I think the hate will eventually fade away.By next or two years critics and cinephiles will find another movie to hate .That being said ,she should definitely join better scripts and roles in the future .Also keeping richy as a choreographer for so long ,when there was definitely better options (By ten years I assume by 2015 and after, but if we go even before that ,obviously the rk*lly collab will forever be a stain in her career ,I fear) Edited 23 hours ago by rocketn9
TheARTPOPball 221
I have a few 1) not releasing act 2, any b sides or AT THE VERY LEAST, Brooklyn Nights. For ARTPOP’s 10th anniversary 2) Not capitalizing on the success of Bloody Mary fast enough (the preorders should have came much faster) 3) Disease should have been released in Early October. It could have been a halloween banger if it had time to gain momentum before the holiday. The video should have also dropped on the same day. my honorable mention (because its more of a personal taste thing) is chromatica ball. Although i loved it, i would have also loved to see the tour match the albums theming and aesthetic a little bit better. I am still curious as to what the original stage looked and the jungle themed posters make we want to see what the original brainstorm was. And the pink/blue/purple/yellow wigs, with bright colors would have ate. chromatica had a unique aesthetic amongst her other albums and i would have loved for the tour to reflect it.

I came here to say Joker, but had forgotten about the 0 promo form ASIB music (Shallow aside) when it had sooo much potential, specially ARUTW. I agree 100% it could've been her Bodyguard, but it's clear she wanted to put the focus on her acting and hence didn't promote the music more.
