David Ward 9,283
It's observed that Abracadabra is experiencing a decline in streaming numbers during its third week, with projections placing it around #30 on the Billboard Hot 100. This trend is common for many releases after an initial surge. Factors such as the song's debut during the 2025 Grammys, its rapid accumulation of over 12 million streams in the first 48 hours, and its viral spread on platforms like TikTok have contributed to its early peak. Abracadabra is shaping up to be one of her most commercially successful releases in years, demonstrating impressive digital performance, streaming power, and a warm reception from both fans and the general public. Streaming & Digital Performance Abracadabra is nearing 100 million streams on Spotify within just a few days, making it one of Gaga’s fastest-growing hits on the platform. With a daily average of 5-8 million streams, the song is positioned to continue its momentum and solidify itself as a streaming powerhouse. The official music video is gaining several million views per day, indicating strong interest beyond just audio streaming. High viewership rates suggest not only a dedicated fanbase but also a significant casual audience engagement, which is crucial for long-term chart longevity. The song has amassed over 200,000 TikTok videos, showcasing its impact in short-form content culture. The platform has played a major role in boosting chart placements in recent years, and Abracadabra's success there indicates a level of mainstream reach beyond Gaga’s core fanbase. Chart Performance & Sales Impact The song debuted at #29 on the Billboard Hot 100, powered by 13.7 million U.S. streams, 1.3 million radio impressions, and 10,000 downloads in its first four days. Given its rapid growth, it's expected to climb significantly in the coming weeks. In the UK, early predictions placed it at #2, making it one of her strongest debuts there in recent memory. The song's addition to Spotify’s “Today’s Top Hits” at #11 signals strong playlist support, which is essential for sustained streaming longevity. General Public’s Reception One of the most significant takeaways from Abracadabra's success is how the general public is embracing Gaga again. Over the past few years, while her core fanbase remained dedicated, she had periods where her mainstream appeal fluctuated. Abra is receiving positive reactions across social media from casual listeners, indicating that it's being welcomed as a fun, energetic pop song that appeals beyond just her die-hard fans. The success of Joker: Folie à Deux's teasers has also helped reignite interest in her, positioning her for a major pop culture resurgence. Its TikTok virality proves that the song is resonating with younger audiences, some of whom may not have been active Gaga fans before. Reid LePage 4,845
I hate to be that person... but it has been out for 2 weeks? DWAS is a certified hit, so it's not that the GP aren't paying attention, they have, it just wasn't what they wanted maybe? Disease, while it wasn't a commercial blowup, it united all the monsters right from the beginning. Abracadabra, did just that with a bigger platform, so the monsters already tuned in are tuned in and she had a major platform to showcase herself with - which is why initially the song did so well. We have 2.5 weeks til Mayhem drops, and it's evident that this album was for us. With the singles, we have a clear indication that it'll be GP friendly. Miss Gagita is notorious for having a slow start, and then years later gets the recognition (ARTPOP, Bloody Mary, aspects of Chromatica). Give it 11 years and we'll probably see something like Killah have a moment and resurge the Mayhem era again lol
