I understood why she removed it from streaming/digital platforms (and well done so), but would've been a great relieve to replace it with the Xtina version putting it on the album. Does anybody know why she didn't?

Probably R. Kelly would still be credited and getting royalties from the Xtina version?

Mhmmm I don't think so. Gaga herself, Christina and Martin Bresso are the only ones credited in that version. Plus, the song featuring Christina is up on Spotify still (I guess in other platforms too). My question was why she didn't include it in the ARTPOP album as a whole? I mean if she was able to remove a song from streaming, I suppose she was able to include the Xtina version in the album as it already was in streaming. It has to be another reason

I see. Maybe it was their way of making sure she wouldn't be associated to the whole situation altogether in the future, if most people forget of the song's existence.

Xtina version has different production, thus it probably didn't fit the album as it is. But there was Gaga's solo version of DWUW even on Spotify, she should've added that to the album instead...

The production is very subtly different (couple of extra drum fills). I don’t really think that’s a good enough reason, but I agree that I would’ve loved to have it replaced with the solo version

I was shook when I saw there was a non r. ***ly version on Spotify but when I clicked it showed the EuropaFM recopilatory (a radio station from my country btw lmao) but no Gaga to be found there 😶😮‍💨 strange. And I didn't notice back in the day nor today there was a slightly different production, mhmmm could that mean technically is a rip-off song which couldn't be included in the album as a whole after It was released the way it was? Dunno

Xtina version has more "live" like instrumental/production and few backing vocals removed from the outro. 

Yes, DWUW solo version was on that compilation album of Europa FM. I can still see it there: Track 21 (Disc 2, Track 3) but it's sadly unavailable.
