Mars 2,663
Unfortunately the US has been built to glorify billionaires, now these individuals and corporations are ruling over YOUR politics, they are actually inside the government. These people don't give a damn about if you live or die, they don't care for the environment, your rights. All they do is exploit and all they aim to do is exploit. Good luck. They all see how much financial inequality there is and they know how much they can help by simply giving away a marginal amount of their wealth. They won't. Kindness and reason isn't gonna do anything. They retreat into their vast carelessness and find ways to cheat the system out of more money than they're able to spend in a lifetime. They're actively harming the world. Things are getting desperate for just about everyone not blessed with being born into generational wealth or connections. If words, reason, empathy aren't changing anything... what will? And why do you feel compelled to go easy on them? I think what she finds gross is that he said „put down“ aka „have killed“ - and so do I! That’s a disgusting thing to say, even about billionaires who are still people. It may hopefully have just been a „joke“ or an exaggeration to make clear how bad and harmful the system aka capitalism is that allows all this to happen. A system Gaga also made her millions with (she’s also almost a billionaire btw) The system needs to be changed- all over the world. We all allowed it to happen & we still contribute to it. Billionaires shouldn’t exist in the first place - meaning nobody should be able to accumulate this much money. Be rich to some extent? Sure.. If you’re a superstar you need a few millions because it’ll be hard for u to get on a normal plane etc. cuz people won’t leave u in peace (I get that) but does one really need 900 millions for that? I think at some point there should be a limit of what you can earn at max. (Everywhere in the world) This amount should be quite high so that it’s still smth people want to achieve THEY CALL ME LADY MOP

Some ultra wealthy are entitled AF thinking they dont owe anybody anything (and some of them have the nerve for calling ordinairy struggling people entitled)... But they are wrong, they do owe it to society to share more of their wealth and success because without the rest of society, they could not have built their little empire themselves! It's all purposeful. They are evil incarnate. I wish everybody would open their ****ing eyes, stop fighting and judging each other, and turn their attention to the real enemies so we could rise up and make change Yeah definitely… but the thing is it has always been like that… there have always been rich people (like rich rich) even in ancient times… and corruption I think that this will never stop… it’s a tale as old as humanity because humans are opportunistic. It's just maddening that it was heading in the right direction for a while and now it seems to be steamrolling the other way to the point average, everyday people are suffering and our quality of life is diminishing. We like to think that was humans we are sooo evolved but we are nothing more than animals with a larger brain that provides a larger capacity to harm others and be selfish. We won't be 'evolved' or 'advanced' until we unlearn selfishness and learn empathy. It seems so obvious that if we worked together as a species we could achieve greatness but people are so MORONIC and instinct driven it's like they don't have brains at all I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. I get where y'all are coming from, and I'm not advocating for or condoning direct violence, but at this point what else is there to do? We all see what's been happening and nothing is changing. The wealth gap is exponentially widening, people are getting desperate and more in debt, life expectancy is decreasing, social programs and safety nets are disappearing... and billionaires are still finding more ways to even avoid paying taxes as opposed to using the money for anything beneficial to anyone but them. On top of that they're now aligning (more directly) with the government to gain and retain power to make things even easier to accrue money. Now people saw one insurance CEO gets killed and suddenly the company decides to do the right thing for their customers. If we can't rely on the wealthys' ability to empathize, we can't rely on their charity, we can't rely on unions, we can't rely on petitions, we can't rely on the government, we can't rely on protesting to make things better... what is there left but provoking fear? It's not pretty but if the consensus becomes "do right by the people or risk your life", and that's what things are starting to look like at least in the US, maybe more of the wealthy will feel inclined to do some philanthropy. So imo this incendiary language is justified and now isn't the time to clutch pearls and police speech that may help us. When things really get violent then yeah, maybe tone it down a little. But right now is the time to heat things up and make the powerful scared. “When the people fear the government, that's tyranny; when the government fears the people, that's freedom.” People are terrified of the government and the wealthy that controls it right now. So if now isn't the time to make them scared, then when? If this language isn't acceptable to make them scared, then what language can be used that will? This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss. Ouranos 1,002
Lol as a joke since we are bringing back the old ways wouldn’t it be funny if we brought back human sacrifice and sacrificed the top ten rich people every ten years so they have time to have fun with their money then try to get rid of it as much as possible and if they are lucky they get another ten years to build it back up and go again would that be funny like I can’t even imagine

elijahfan 27,499
I mean the problem is not so much people doing good and getting insanely rich, it’s the system that gives them so much power and influence. But this will go on as long as our societies will value money over morals. I’m also not sure you can get that much money while being entirely moral. To clarify I’m not saying I have no negative feelings towards billionaires, I most certainly do. I just reserve the “hatred” for the system and loopholes that allow them to accumulate so much wealth. We should be campaigning about changing that instead of always bitching and moaning about the billionaire class. I think y'all are talkin about different kinds of billionaires.. so if you hated all billionaires you might as well hate Gaga too, because she also "used" the system and made $$$ because of capitalism. (which I know u don't) Oh and yeah soon, she'll be a billionaire. I think you're talkin about people like Musk who now get involved in politics just because he has the money, right? Some of of us are talkin about everyone who is rich af (which includes people like Gaga, Beyoncé, Riri etc.) and they used (not abused imo) the system and should not have as much money as they have. I think nobody should have this much money, not even Gaga, even though I adore that woman. Anyways... we won't change that, in fact, I believe this problem will never change, because people are opportunistic and corrupt, especially politicians THEY CALL ME LADY MOP

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, morally makes a billion dollars. Not Gaga, not Taylor Swift, not Bill Gates, not Oprah. No b o d y Gaga's already done quite a few questionable things in pursuit of more cash and success. Inflated prices, many sponsorships, these stupid album variants (taking advantage of her fanbase's desire to burn their cash on different colored vinyls or lazy pictures). I already think she's obscenely, grossly rich to the point that it's disturbing and I'm not afraid to criticize her for it. Her endearing qualities just outweigh all that....for now if anyone's gonna be a billionaire it should be people like her. But nobody should be a billionaire. 8 minutes ago, Mother of Puppies said: I think you're talkin about people like Musk who now get involved in politics just because he has the money, right? It sounds like you're arguing that minimum wage shouldn't be a livable wage. And you don't explicitly say that. But you argue around jobs that pay well. So how would we go about minimum wage jobs? Should we close them until 4pm every day when high schoolers get out of school? I assume you never go out to eat before 4pm. Not for breakfast or lunch. Or the grocery store. And we'll close them again at 10pm? So restaurants and grocery stores have a 6 hour day? I'm sure that would go over well for business owners and the GDP. The alternative is that college students do it. But considering yearly tuition and fees is around $60,000 how would they live? Would they work 80 hour weeks? Or do we subsidize education? Single mothers? What about them? We don't want social programs but we want single mothers to make it out in life? We strip them of sex education, we take away their right to decide, we saddle them with children, we allow the fathers to walk away or even die due to our garbage healthcare system, and then we tell them they party too much? Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. We can carry 100s of people across the sky at 500mph. We can make computers generate "Art". We can cure cancer and analyze every single cell within us. But we allow men, women, and children to lay out in the street and starve. And then get onto a pop culture website to act condescendingly towards them because they "party too much" and deserve to suffer. Absolutely fvcking disgusting. You say what you say. I firmly believe what I believe. I think minimum wage should calibrate based on inflation but should it maintain a livable wage? That depends on how you spend your money. If you're poor, you need to cut down your expense, not to buy another iPhone. When i was a graduate student with a very low salary, much below the minimum wage, I cut down my spending and was extremely thrifty and there was lots of hard working people doing that as well. Was it extremely tough back then? Absolutely, but at the mean time I see people claiming for poverty and not working at all and have the latest iPhone when my phone was a few years old. That is how you get to poverty. There is consequence in every decision you make in life.
