Judges can definitely be swayed at the prospect of making a woman a single mother of two if she's working class, has a low-income job/unemployed and is on the poverty line. But when she's one of the biggest singers in the world, one of the most famous women in the world and a literal billionaire, it just doesn't have the same sympathy. She can afford all the help to look after her kids (and has a lot of free time herself) if their dad rightfully has to do some prison time. Poor things having to grow up, known they were used as a pawns to stop their dad going to jail. It's crazy how Rihanna has all this wealth and status and still wants to be with guys who are no good. She should be dating men on her level.

I don’t see it as “manipulative” in a bad way personally, it’s not like the jury don’t have free will or the ability to Think critically. She is merely sending a message that the man has children and a sentence to 20 in jail leaves these kids without a dad. They can do what they will with that info lol.

He had been charged with two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and one count of personal use of a firearm. 
He fired a gun twice in the direction of his former friend.  Rocky's lawyer claims he used a prop gun (from music video he recorded with Rihanna).  Rocky himself refused to testify.

the prosecution wants him to go to prison for at least 10 years

before the trial began, he was offered plea deal of 6 months in jail, 7-year suspended sentence, 3 years probation but he turned it down because the deal would have cost him his endorsement and he would not be able to tour as such a deal would leave him with a felony record
