The Fame is the one exception but even its cover is not super colorful. But TFM, BTW and even ASIB are probably her most successful/iconic eras and all have B/W covers as opposed to the relative muted reception to the eras of ARTPOP, Joanne, and Chromatica which all had colorful covers.
