Red 95,674
I’ve seen many people referencing “Mayhem” as a character meaning that both the lady in a hat and a cane in Disease and the lady in a hat and cane in Abra are the same person but am I crazy or Gaga said to Elle magazine they are not the same? Did I miss something? Is Miss Mayhem a thing or nah If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
MaybeKermit 4,324
well the HAUS (Frederic, Sarah,...) have been commenting "Mother Mayhem" under Gaga's post so I guess in a way it is ?
Sorcerer 12,127
Yes, I think so. Mayhem represents the darkness and chaos inside of her embodied into a character in both MVs. I love that she's bringing back these alter-egos. Imagine if Mayhem appears on the tour. That would be exciting.
JoeMo 3,792
I think the character in the music videos is meant to be symbolic of inner chaos or “mayhem”. Will be interesting to see if she makes a reappearance in future music videos www.youtube.com/jmremixes
Hennycomb 3,419
I think the color of the character changed in both videos to represent different innner voices/struggles, but the character per se represents the concept of internal monologue.
