And disease could probably have benefited from some live performances but I think it was never meant to be promoted anyway (in retrospect), I think it was something to shut us up and bridge us over to abra, hence the minimal promo, this also worked in her favor to drift some attention from joker, I still remember reading the video was made in a rush 

I still want more TikTok promo though

You can't compare an acoustic song off an companion/spinoff side project connected to an extremely disliked movie with a massive song like Disease, the lead to her log awaited album. It's very safe to say some tv/radio promo would  have done  some magic, especially considering on the tiktok posts people asked what song that is and when it's coming out

Abra had a tv premiere, where people who don't follow Gaga got to see Gaga "return" to being Gaga, which made people post on social medias where tiktok comes in play for aditional promo. Cause TT being the only promo works only on Gaga/pop stans cause new pop is part of their algorithm, TV promo reaches even non fans. which creates awareness, makes people google the artist which then becomes part of their algorithm.

but you also can't compare the grammys to local US tv

of course the grammys would have impact, it's THE grammys. late night tv is factually dying though... a tv performance wouldn't have changed anything major for Disease

and like someone else said, iTunes isn't a relevant chart... it's easy to secure a #1 there
