Andrew 375
I actually cannot believe the Ball is over. I feel desperately bad for the American monsters that didn't get a chance to see it .... Also for Gaga. It would be an awful thing to go through!

Dangerous Man 9,245
I dont care bout those negative rumors, just here for gagz health and hoping for her full recovery. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."
vlin 0
it is a tragedy that the ball is over, but i can't deal with posts on GGD and LM.com criticizing her even in the slightest. this is literally the last thing she wanted to happen, if she could mend her hip in 2 seconds and perform the rest of the ball, she would in a heartbeat. however she is HUMAN and has a body susceptible to injury, especially performing a 2 hour set sometimes a week in a row -- in high heels, at that. and on her downtime, she's recording her next album for all of us. the BTW era lasted an amazing 2 years and it's very sad that some of us won't be able to see it, but she WILL make it up to us somehow, even though she isn't entitled to. i was supposed to go to one of the last shows, and obviously can't anymore, but more than anything i'm truly sad for gaga because i know how bad this hurts her feelings, and the fact that she looks at GGD "when big news happens" (i.e. a tour cancellation) and reads some of the hateful comments on here MUST make her even more sad. as much as i love and stan for gaga some of you need to stop taking this so personally. take a good look at the injury on the first page of this thread and ask yourself if you could do a 2 hour set with a torn ligament in your hip.

AgusPop 4,064
Live Nation Global Touring chairman Arthur Fogel calls the cancellation “a tremendous disappointment for her, for her fans, for all of the people in the touring party the crew, the staff, the band, the performers, the dancers and for my team.†Remarkably nonplussed in the face of the task at hand for the Live Nation Global Touring team, Fogel calls the cancellation a situation where “the entertainment business intersects with the realities of life, and the glamorous perception of what touring is like is replaced by the reality that it’s tough,†he tells Billboard.biz. “It’s tough for anybody, but [for] the more physical performerâ€â€and she certainly is oneâ€â€it’s that much tougher. I feel terrible for her; it’s a difficult situation. But it’s just one of those things that can’t be controlled, and we just deal with what we have to deal with.†http://www.billboard.com/biz/articles/news/touring/1539257/lady-gaga-tour-cancellation-a-look-at-the-damage

Chucky 39
Ugh...the longer I think about this the longer it makes me mad. I had to do such a backflip to even obtain tickets, not to mention the fact that I was planning on going to the Atlantic City Show (that eventually was rescheduled to State College - but we won't get into that), lost my presale abilities, and then had to scrape together the cash to afford a $100 GA ticket. I poured money into an outfit that will probably never be worn now. I was willing to wake up at the crack of dawn to sit in line in the freezing cold with other fans just so we could be closer to her. I've bought concert tickets, CDs, books and even traveled to New York to Nicola Formichetti's pop up shop, JUST TO SEE HER OUTFITS. It makes me mad that this is the story of so many of us, sacrificing time and money for ONE PERSON. I understand its her health, and I understand that to an extent she probably did not have much of a choice. But the tour was CANCELED, not postponed, not rescheduled, straight up ripped the rug beneath me 6 days before I was supposed to go. For months I've been reading about her touring around the world, purposefully not watching videos or even barely looking at pictures of the show to make it better for me. It was supposed to be more then just a concert - it was supposed to be an experience. I look at this retrospectively and feel I've invested too much into this one person. As much as I admire Gaga, and she's had a huge influence in my life (I pretty much bleached my hair blonde because of her and chose my career as a makeup artist after I was constantly replicating her looks) - I'm not sure I can allow myself to become this attached to something that really, in the grand scheme of things, is entertainment. The prices of the tickets were, astronomical. I see bands that I love just as much as Gaga for $15-$20, and I even get to chat with them sometimes, or atleast grab a pic. I can't even imagine the hoops of fire I'd have to jump through just to even see her. I don't know, I just am not sure I am interested in doing this again. I feel pretty burned and kinda duped, because she doesn't know who I am. She didn't know I worked extra shifts or spent hours sewing - and she won't. It's entertainment and I shouldn't be as bummed as I am - but I am. And just like when a person you know burns you, you're not sure you'll want to play the game again. So not saying I won't still listen to her music, or even buy her new CD - I'm a music lover and she's an incredibly important artist in contemporary pop. But I'm not sure I'll ever be this invested ever again. And I suspect I'm not the only one. This is why I'm always terrified of concert ticket purchases. Each time I've seen Madonna and Gaga, I would spend the months leading up in panic that something would interfere with my plans. I feel for u As for ur outfit, look for a reason to use it :legend: Edited February 17, 2013 by Hardmikey
Katie14 4,828
It honestly concerns me that she pushed through the pain for so long without telling anybody. Her perfectionism and work ethic is admirable but also self destructive. It just saddens me knowing how difficult touring is for her, from nearly passing out on stage in 2010, to throwing up numerous times onstage and backstage, and now performing with debilitating hip pain. I remember at Thanksgiving this year my family was having a discussion about how celebrities don't work hard enough to deserve all the money they have. People think pop stars have such glamorous and easy lives. Nobody sees all the effort that is put in behind the scenes, the sleepless nights, the endless traveling, the stress, the pressure. Its really sad how people like Gaga don't get the respect that they deserve. Edited February 17, 2013 by Katie14
Michael 533
I just think it's such a shame that the Born This Way era ended so abruptly on such a negative note, when the end of the era should have been a huge celebration of the last 2 years of Born This Way with the last show on the tour. It's such a shame that when she performed in Montreal, she had no idea that it was the last time she'd be performing the show and the last time she'd be on that stage.
