Just a reminder for folks.

Piracy exists. And robbing fascists of wealth is morally right.

Steal the music. Don't stream it lol

The gays know how to party

Kinda pathetic imo sorry.

don't be sorry. Just think please.

i'm being very compact.

NO ARTIST NO WORK OF ART IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A REAL INTERACTION WITH A SIMPLE TREE.

my only mistake was to pretend it's actually hard to cut off a singer from your life when i'd do that any day.

This is a demonstration in setting yourself free.

I'm doing a demonstration in setting yourself free.

What do you mean "a real interaction with a simple tree"??

So you have cut off Bowie and Lana? Can I ask why?

I didn't mean any insult btw it's just this particular topic sparked off my views on the larger matter. My post wasn't directed entirely on you.

But I still stand by my belief that there is no harm in personally loving the artwork made by a bad person, even if you hate that person. That is freedom imo. Art and creativity is and always will be essential to humanity, and to dictate what should and shouldn't be accessible in that field is wrong.

you need trees to breathe not van gogh or anywho. also you can sit under the shadow of a tree or hug the tree and share energy with a clever and sensible being.

trees and bees and our oceans are so much more important than bowie and lana and mozart and van gogh and also lady gaga combined.

also bowie liked underaged groupies and lana flirst with colonialistic imagery and sucks a trumpist alligator tails.

I'm not as radical with Lana, she still has the benefit of the doubt .. but like.... I just can't really. I don't even want it like i used too.... Just because of that. That's weird but it's true.

Where is this coming from? I never said that art is more important than life and nature. Of course there are more important things than art but that is irrelevant to the argument at hand.

But neither of these come in the way of the fact that Bowie is one of the greatest music legends of all time, and so is Lana in her own way. With your perspective you might as well stop listening to music all together because most old school bands and alternative artists were/are problematic people.

Hell, why not just never leave your house in future and enjoy anything, because there will always be things in this world (art, music, cinema, food, tech, fashion, etc.) made by people who you won't agree with. And how about I never talk to or see my old granddad again, because he's from an old fashioned close minded era and is therefore kinda racist and homophobic.

nope. believe me my jazz collection is rare.

what i mean by that before you interpret me a bit too literally is that

I can have a great experience with arts without any famous figure involved.

notconfident

stopped listening to her music a couple years ago when I detected problematic behavior (everything after Miss Anthropocene has been nothing more than generic electonic music anyway), but finally blocked her this time, her pick-me-Elon behavior has reached new heights and I hope she feels all the consenquences :bye:

You're missing my point.

it's a very complex discussion. not in my native language.. and i'm being very abstract because i really wanna talk about the benefits of letting go. this is one of the only things i'm good at in general : letting go.

also i wanna talk about stardom and what it is and what it does and capitalism. It's like stardom is the capitalism of art. and capitalism is the root of all evil. lol...

finally to nuance who I am, I could listen to Lana again because she ain't done any literal crime yet nor proven she agrees with her husband.... but i just do way less and organically

Well that's fair. We can agree to disagree. But I stand by my belief that cancel culture is getting out of hand, and there is nothing wrong from separating the art from the artist.
