I’m sorry, but we were robbed of DWAS live on the biggest night in music.

I feel you. And idk why when I heard "tribute" I really thought it was going to be multiple songs at least? It was a great performance but it was so short :traumatica:

I do agree- it could’ve been a great last hurrah .

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

I for one am GRATEFUL they didn’t perform, otherwise Abracadabra would have been overshadowed.

They picked the right song to pay respect & tribute to those affected by the California wildfires, they will be able to sing DWAS in the future, and we have all their live performances and costumes to date. We’ve been well fed from the DWAS era & I don’t see it being the last of it. I honestly could see Bruno & Gaga doing a duet album like her & Tony!

Totally agree. Their cover was gorgeous, of course, but completely unnecessary and could've been performed anywhere, just not at the Grammys. Gaga already performed at the FireAid concert, she did her bit. It isn't fair that she was booked to do this when the song she's nominated for in a general field category is literally at #1. She should have been allowed to be perform it like every other major field nominee. If people are going to be unreasonably offended at the lyrics at a time like this, then the answer is simple: PERFORM DWAS AS A PERFORMANCE FOR ITS OWN SAKE, NOT AS A TRIBUTE! It's not rocket science. You can't help but think, as a fan, that there's some level of BS going on here, like they didn't want Gaga to be the big talked-about performance of the night. But they gave her an award for it, so that doesn't exactly line up. It just takes me back to the days when I saw Gaga as an extension of myself and lamented: "Why does nothing we plan ever work out for us? What are we doing wrong? Why did other people get a chance and not us?" You'd best believe they wouldn't treat Beyonce, Taylor or Adele like this. One of the biggest songs of the year deserves a Grammy performance. It's just common sense.

You get me sis!!

Also we found the culprit, the Grammys producer had a hidden agenda if you read between the lines, they didn't really come up with it by themselves - he clearly had a vision for the ceremony he wanted and wasn't about to give them a big moment: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/grammys-2025-weeknd-winner-taylor-swift-beyonce-1235256821/

this fanbase is clinically ungrateful

No, we call things out and demand justice.

I can be grateful for the performance we got whilst also questioning why it wasn’t the performance we expected.

yeah but at a certain point it gets overused and ridiculous ... she's been feeding us with content the last quarter of a year in a way she prob hasn't since her ARTPOP days yet she's being criticized for every project.. not that it had always been that way but I'm just very tired of seeing people complain on a level that often just is "she's not giving" instead of first trying to understand her work on a deeper and more meaningful way. And that is what I mean with clinically cuz it appears to be rather a problem of this fanbase than hers lol like some sort of anger managment issues

Oh I hear you, I hear you. Little Monsters are a crazy bunch.

I am so grateful for all that Mother has been serving. I'm even a JFAD defender. I just had a checklist and "DWAS Live at the 67th Grammys" was on that list... it was just so set in stone that it was going to happen, but then tragedy struck LA. I really am so grateful we got a performance at all, but my heart is still broken.

I just knew that Gaga and Bruno didn't come up with it all by themselves. They were scapegoated by producers into being the charity artists of the night, but every other performer was able to sing their biggest hit. The proceeds of the entire event should've gone towards fundraising but no, Gaga and Bruno were solely responsible for that 'spike in donations' which apparently, Die With A Smile - the current #1 song, wouldn't be able to provide.

Anyway, I updated my OP with the new Grammy producer's insider interview and even though I disliked what I read, I'm glad that I now have a specific person to direct my anger towards :huntyga:

Im a bit salty as well but honestly at least DWAS already had a good run so I didnt loose sleep over it

But yeah, wasted oppurtunity as well imo. They could have started with DWAS and then touched on one of Brunos or Gagas new songs too

Im not so sure a 6 month song would have overshadowed it that much

Everyone already knows DWAS. Your not trying to promote something new, it would be an iconic performance of a huge hit (as we never got a live televised performance of it before)

It would remind ppl Gaga is an it girl right now and if anything created hype for abracadabra

If it was 3 months ago id agree, but now I think were past that, i dont think it would have overshadowed anything
