Beyoncé deserved AOTY for self-titled, Lemonade and Renaissance. She made the world talk, she had an impact on culture and yet the Grammy committee failed to recognise that. Now with Cowboy Carter, a largely local, US-centered album, that nobody listens to less than a year after release, they give her credit. Yeah, she deserves but was CC impactful? Nope, not at all. It actually felt forced around release "hey listen a black woman doing country, this is the greatest thing ever". So now they robbed brat and Charli cause she was the one that actually impacted culture and it was so sudden and out of nowhere. Sigh... Sidenote, I don't know Kendrick's song but was it really that better than DWAS? Bruno hasn't lost a Grammy for ages, I feel, and to lose SOTY exactly the year he's nominated with Gaga is a bit suspicious... DWAS is such a Grammy-bait song.
