Happy Mistake deserved more too but let's see if she sings it next year when Harlequin gets some noms (hopefully)

I’m sorry but the lyrics and song are pretty appropriate for the situation and work as a tribute to the LA fires. I don’t find it really distasteful as people seem to make it out to be. The song lyrics and premise work for the situation. Only people with two working brain cells would only hear the words “die with a smile” without any of the other lyrics would be offended and they voted for trump.

I think it's more difficult when it's literally the name of the song. I think they'll sing DWAS, the message is there and it's very appropriate for this occasion despite the "unfortunate" title of the song

Can people stop with the meltdowns? They could have not performed at all. They are announced last, usually left for the biggest artists, so it is an honor. And she is performing with Bruno, so it probably wont be just some random tribute, because why would they do it together?

I feel like they have to perform DWAS, right?? Having the two of them together…performing…when they’re nominated for multiple awards…and it was one of the biggest songs of last year…it seems like a no brainer.

We would like to dedicate this song to those who lost their homes. Even when the world seems to be ending, know that we wanna be right there next to you, helping and using our voices and love to get through these hard moments. 
 

just twist the narrative a bit and it works. Add some cheesy Gaga “love heals in the midst of chaos” lines and there you go. Really hope they dont shoot DWAS down as an option just because of this

How could some of y'all just rule out DWAS? They can definitely use Die With A Smile as a tribute, basically a stripped-down, vulnerable version of it.

For example, Lady Gaga sang a medley of acoustic Telephone and not-acoustic Dance in the Dark as a tribute to McQueen.
