I think it’s fun she’s doing a Sunday release - it lets all the attention fall on her. Plus it’s such idgaf moves. Beyoncé’s done it, Gaga can do it too - she’s the big leagues, she doesn’t need to follow the “rules” if she doesn’t want to.

At this point into Gaga’s career who cares about tracking weeks fr. Some of her stuff blows up, some of it doesn’t - and the stuff that does get big these days is nearly always a slow burn anyway. I’m happy she feels free to release how she wants - it’s confident.

Now that I'm thinking about it, from what we know she could send a little teaser of the video during the commercial break and still releasing the single on friday 7th  are the commercial breaks that long to be able to play a whole ass music video?

I think the sooner everyone comes to terms with the fact she’s in it for the love and fun of music making now, and not trying to calculate every single last little detail to try manipulate and stronghold chart success, you’ll enjoy this era so much more.

Personally, I couldn’t care less how the rest of the singles (or even the album for that matter) perform commercially. Gaga is doing a boat load of fan service with this album it seems, DWAS is a global smash (3rd longest #1 on the global charts of ALL TIME) and it is now the closing track so the label will be getting their coin. Gaga seems to finally, GENUINELY be enjoying creating and engaging fans again (her being so active on TikTok makes me so happy) and that to me is worth so much more than the debut position on a chart. If she’s good with how everything is going, we can be, too. 

I completely understand that so many of us want to see her succeed and top every chart and everyone be talking about her. But she has nothing left to prove. She’s in a place in her career where she can do whatever she wants and she has earned that. And she looks damn good doing it, too.

Also, apologies for the double post, but Gaga has commented “👀” under a tiktok saying Abracadabra is coming Sunday during the Grammys so that absolutely confirms it’s the next single. And I feel in my soul that it is the best song on the album

Certainly a huge ask, but it's possible if they take up airtime from the Grammys itself rather than buying an ad placement.

So it could come right before or after the Grammys go to conmercials.

I hope it's a hard experimental sound because imo she's the best when she tries to push herself towards new things. Making safe radio friendly pop isn't great for her. I can't wait to hear the full song because the snippet was already amazing.
