Now this is a fantastic point @PartySick - completely agree with you. In general, I miss the days when an album was incredibly specific. With so much digital, things are constantly added, shifted, changed.

I’m quite neutral about the standard album cover. I just wish it had more contrast like the 2nd cover has and a better resolution.

I absolutely love it. It’s simple yet so effective. It’s timeless and puts her front and center as this strange, kind of unclear person. it looks like it could fit into a multitude of time periods and I love that. she always does what people are not expecting, and they all expected some wild, over-the-top thing. But really it makes so much sense when you listen to the things she’s been saying for months. She’s in a different place in many facets of her existence and this is proof. It’s stunning and will live on many unexpected shelves because of it. Plus, it’s her art. How are yall so comfortable being so…that way about her work idgi

I love it. Loved it since the day it leaked. It showcases how simplicity can contain so much chaos at its very core. Also love the alternative covers, but none of them until now beats the standard ones, that’s why they’re alternatives

Not sure if intentional, but the mirror shards remind me of the rays from the ARTPOP cover, specially in the Target Exclusive version. Kind of genius

I like the effect, I just find her look to be boring/too stripped back. But I guess that is what makes the effect work (transformation to chaos/mayhem).

I really enjoy the standard cover! But I definitely think there are stronger alternatives in the imagery we've seen.

My wallet is pissed but I preordered the webstore exclusive variant and the Target variant. Part of me is regretting not snagging the standard cover, but I couldn't resist!!
