Where are the "alternate covers" for Joanne and Chromatica?  

I know there were different vinyls but idk, changing the cover itself to create this kind of false regional exclusivity feels cheap and greedy no matter who does it.

Guess that's just the business now though.

Just saying...there's an awful lot of people who were dragging Taylor for doing this exact thing who are now scrambling to find out how they can get their hands on a low effort fuzzy pic with a colorful vinyl inside   

Lemme take my negativity to private spaces, I know collectors don't have time for me to be on my soapbox nostalgic for a time when artists made music just to make music

Can you imagine this one on a Billboard on Times Square or wherever ? People wouldn't know it's her, would think she became old and lame af, and would NOT bat an eye. They're not fit to represent a whole era imo.

Even tho the original cover is simple, I still prefer it over these.

I believe Billie said that it’s the labels who push them to do for marketing reasons and most of the artists hates that

 

people were dragging taylor for adding bonus tracks on these variants, not for the covers, she released 50+ of them, gatekeeping each of them under each variant, she made her fan buy the album again just for 1 new song

that’s a big difference, so far we have only 1 bonus track on My Ham, I believe another one will be the target exclusive.

These 2 variants are Australian exclusive  and 2 more are UK exclusive so they will have absolutely 0 boost to her chart position in the US Billboard chart.

While Taylor focused her variants almost exclusively on the US Billboard charts.
