I still love the aesthetic she chose for Harlequin. The album cover is amazing, the photoshoot and the pictures with hints to her career (like the Joanne casette and Tony) were so cute :huntyga:

So Harlequin, despite having absolutely no relation to Chromatica, is LG6.5, but The FAME Monster, despite being an expansion of the fame, is LG2...? :laughga: And why are C2C, L4S and ASIB not LG4.5, LG5.5, and LG6.25? :messga:

You guys take these things too serious lol. Harlequin getting teased as LG6.5 was a simple way to let fans know that this was not LG7. It’d have been confusing with the anticipation these years to see the album cover and release date for the average fan.

It should have been LG7 imo and then LG7 be LG8 ... I get ASIB and the Tony albums not counting since they're not solo albums but come on haha.

The Fame Monster is not an expansion of The Fame. Can't believe we are still discussing this in 2025 :alsemanche: and you guys are reading too much into the .5 thing, she only came up with that for Harlequin because she thought it was cute before giving us a full new album

From Wikipedia:

The Fame Monster is a reissue of American singer Lady Gaga's debut studio album, The Fame (2008). It was released on November 17, 2009, by Interscope Records, Streamline Records, KonLive Distribution, and Cherrytree Records. Initially planned solely as a deluxe edition reissue of The Fame, Interscope later decided to release the eight new songs as a standalone EP in some territories.

Literally says it's a "deluxe reissue" of the Fame and that the bonus songs were then released as an "EP" (NOT an album). Facts are facts but you do you sis.

Phenomenally underrated album

It’s her voice and all the songs’ arrangements that really does it for me. Even though a few of the songs I’ve heard a million times

I think she didn't consider it LG7 because most songs are covers and not original ones as all other LGs have been

I feel like she should still be proud of it, she's on her third jazz album now and even did live concerts and fan listening parties in ways she hasn't necessarily done for past albums ...

forgetting that LG's wikipedia entry is written by the nerdiest monsters who are obsessed with gaga and therefore have all the correct sources and fact-checked data. :triggered:

Not calling the soundtrack album LG7 doesn't mean she isn't proud of it. She already said it was just stuffs she wanna do after she finishes filming. Probably she didn't feel satisfied with the ones recorded for the movie, who knows. But, she did it and put her own takes to it. And make it a mini era. Cos she know she have bigger project shortly after that which she want to use as full era, which more fitting to be called LG 7 since it is cultivated as the successor of Chromatica.

I can't believe that we are STILL having these conversations about her albums. Can't you just accept a little contradiction? Is life always perfect? We're talking about Gaga, a super versatile artist, it was bound to get messy with her music projects.

Honestly, is there a way to just force the Wikipedia editors to fix that mess?

Gaga has 10 studio albums and 3 sountrack albums.

Of the 10 studio albums, 2 are duet albums (CTC and LFS), the rest are solo.

The soundtracks are ASIB, TG:M and J:FAD.

Genre-wise, 3 of her studio albums are traditional pop/jazz - CTC, LFS and Harlequin, the remaining are pop/dance-pop/EDM, etc.

Now let's address the contradictions: YES, LG7 is her tenth studio album and it's not a problem because we use the LG-number for her solo projects, she uses them as well. And, well, she can do as she pleases. If she refers to Harlequin as LG6.5, who are we to question it? Just roll with it. The LG-number references more her eras, tours, etc. It's relevant in the fandom only, tbh.

Harlequin is not a soundtrack album, it wasn't used in any movie. There's a soundtrack for JFAD that features Gaga, Harlequin is a studio album she was inspired to record after shooting the film. Period.

TFM IS NOT AN EP, it has 8 songs and it's 34 minutes long, longer than many albums nowadays. EPs usually have up to 4-5 songs. Also, TFM is NOT a deluxe reissue of TF, as much as Interscope promoted it initially as such. TFM is her second album, whose DELUXE edition had her first album, TF, as a bonus disc. That's why when you buy the 2-CD edition, the first disc is TFM, and the second disc is TF, not vice versa.

In a nutshell, F*CK Wikipedia and the fans who keep quoting this mess as if it's the Bible.

You do know that as an encyclopedia Wikipedia has rules of how things should be written right? They use jargon and specific terms on articles to fit the rules of the site and standardize the content. So yes, it is a reissue because it came with The Fame, but that does not mean that Gaga or even the record label doesn’t consider TFM as a separate body of work. Also, if you go to the article “Reissue”, one of the examples of reissues is “sequel”, exactly what TFM is to TF

I don't know how to write in english
