For sure something shady occurred in the public voting unfortunately Last year comparison: #17 The Code (#1 song overall) #45 Rim Tim Tagi Dim (#2 song overall) #69 Mon amour (#4 song overall) #116 Teresa & Maria (#3 song overall) Also last year, the #5 song Hurricane from Israel arrived second in the public voting (and very close to the #1 according to the public voting), but it didn't enter in the global chart On 5/21/2025 at 4:50 PM, Gabi001 said: I don't think it was rigged. People voted for Israel to show support. I know a lot of people who gave them 20 votes without even hearing their song. Israel is such a fraud, they advertised the "vote 20 times" and what not... EBU should change the voting system, it's ridiculous at this point & full of politics. 4 hours ago, AVeryGagaHolyDick said: Huh? I totally don’t blame them not knowing what to do. It would be dumb to kill it on radio, but let’s be real - it’s more or less done streaming wise in the USA. TUDUM in 2023 apparently had 78 million views on social media platforms coupled with at least 11,000 attendees. Hard to say how much impact it will have but it could be big as Netflix is trying to make TUDUM happen. 6 hours ago, RickMonster98 said: what if the wednesday single (if it exists) comes in a few days? (thinking about the netflix event) I’m doubtful, I don’t see them pushing the song until the season releases.

AVeryGagaHolyDick 24,406
Now that I think of it, it would be stupid not to give Abra the Song Of The Year award. in terms of how immediately impactful it is on the listener and how incredibly fresh it sounds, it’s the song of the 2020´s so far. I know it’s far from being the most successful one, but it’s the most important on a musical level so far. The DWAS - Disease - Abracadabra run was absolutely insanely qualitative. 2008-2011Ga is shaking. I feel so grateful to have experienced that in 2024-2025. I know some people hate DWAS for whatever reason but it’s the definition of an instant classic. The minute you hear it, you just know it’s gonna be huge. I said what I said. Knowing the GRAMMYs, they might award Luther or Anxiety or a random H.E.R. song though. They literally gave SOTY to the most random nominee last year (Not Like Us when Expresso, Birds Of A Feather, DWAS and even Tipsy were right there…) PS: makes me realize, when people ask “how big would Bad Romance be if it was released today”, the answer is Abracadabra. LordByron28 1,029
Luther is dedicated to an underrated legendary and influential artist, Luther Vandross, who passed away and has been getting more respect as of late. It’ll likely go to that song.

If Debra were free falling, using the momentum from these last concerts with a fan lyric video and performance etc could have helped VIY as a next single, but that seems less likely with each day. Australian radio looks promising, maybe sending HBDUWM to radio in Europe asap, then dropping a video and pulling Abra in the US for HBDUWM in June may be the smartest move. I don't know why they don't listen to the data... the response to VIY has been huge. To hell with radio-- they always take 10 years to catch up and play a Lady Gaga song (Debra being an example of this). Pick the one with the strongest streaming power and radio will catch on. VIY is legit playing on official county-wide radio stations in Brazil right now. 1
Nagini 1,739
Andddddd I'll just say it because it's true: if HBDYWM becomes a single (and does decently well), AOTY is off the table

VIY sounds like a much grander song and I can’t get tired listening to it.
