Louvre 1,969
What happened in the UK for gaga to fall 30 spots the previous week? Hadn't it had a run in the top 10 for 6-7 weeks? Is there some weird UK chart rule at play here?

It’s not slowing down and still has a way to go. So maybe they want to wait for the perfect week to do it. Let's stop being delulu lol, it's going to take monumental effort to get Debra into the Top 10 given its streaming and radio performance (despite radio making small, incremental gains). I think they will just let it ride for a bit before moving forward with the next single. She did her best with that song and it was a cute hit while it lasted. Definitely deserves way more, but we should all be proud for all the effort she put into it. Time for VIY or GOE! 2
Nagini 637
Honestly, hearing VIY at Coachella... it just sounds like a smash and it's the song that has grown on me the most. A song you'd play in the car all the time, just a total vibe. 8 1

I think they will just let it ride for a bit before moving forward with the next single. Her rises on radio throughout the last 2 weeks have not been small. Today Abra was the 6th biggest gainer in audience on overall radio (out of 100 songs). And Abra is about to enter top 10 on pop radio. Some of the biggest hits have a slow rise to their peak! And the slow rise on radio is a good thing - this might help the song spend 20+ weeks on the chart. Abra is also becoming more and more stable on spotify. The songs weekly decreases on spotify have been under 10% for awhile now and todays saturday update is obviously bigger than last weeks. It would be unwise to rush into a new single now - it would kill Abra's momentum. 11 1

Definitely deserves way more, but we should all be proud for all the effort she put into it. Time for VIY or GOE! Tbh I challenge this take — it’s more than a “cute hit while it lasted” as it’s still gaining traction, even if slowly. Gaga, and Abra have proved your view wrong. The fact it’s even incrementally gaining radio traction, has stabilized in the 2+ million globally for Spotify, has stayed with the top 40 of the BB 100 for several weeks now, and currently has 107 million YT views is no easy feat in the current music scene, esp for veterans AND women such as Gaga. Look at how many other contemporaries, both old and new, that have bombed this year, some shockingly. You’re right that we should be proud, but not because she tried, but because she’s proving herself successful and relevant, all while proving everyone wrong. Idgaf about top 10 in the US — if it happens, cool, but the song, esp following DWAS, did something great. The release of Abra felt like a zeitgeist moment for her career, and it doesn’t need a top 10 to cement it’s significance.
