Gaga is already the top 2 for AOTY win according to Golderby experts, and her three threats were Miley, Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles. 2/3 tanked. If Harry follows, or doesn't release by this year’s eligibility period, Gaga’s AOTY nom is on lock and win is quite possible. 
 

Hell, I had ruled out Abra from ROTY and SOTY because it doesn’t “fit” the typical categories profile, but this year is SO weak, she actually has a shot. All of the hits 2025 has are carry overs from last year. Only Luther, Abra and APT are big songs that are eligible.

Miley, Ed, or Harry won't be threats to Gaga for sure (esp since Harry has already won). Just can't have any vote splitting given hip-hop body and the new members of the Academy will surely go all-in for Kendrick... (since people literally lick his feet every time he says one word lmao).

Keep in mind were only half way thru the eligibility year. Its a little early to say the year is weak. No telling what could drop in the next few months

I agree there’s still time for a new summer hit to arise, but it NEEDS to come out like now. Im just curious who would it be? 

The Weeknd, Gaga, Miley, Ed Sheeran, Lizzo, Tate McRae, already released. Other artists like Chappell Roan, Beyonce, Taylor, etc are not slated for this eligibility period. If the lead singles for all these other artists underperformed, it is harder for second and third singles to become hits because usually the lead singles are the ones that receive the label’s radio and play listing support. Second and third singles usually only become hits if the general public gets on board. It would have to be a very left-curve artist. 
 

And also the fact that the only 3 songs of the current Hot 100 are eligible for this year (2 of them released on 2024), with five months left, and given how it’s taking the average hit 1-3 months to actually rise, thats why I’m saying its really shaping to be a weak year in comparison to 2025

The recent performance of big name artists’ latest singles (Ed, Miley, Drake, Ariana, etc) puts Gaga’s success in perspective. 

We should be immensely proud - this really has been our year
