Exactly why they didn't fiklmed a Bloody Mary or pushed the single while Gaga was preparing for Joker 2. A mess for this because I would have sacrified that mess of a thing for a BM video

HoG filming started in Feb 2021, they had full 2020 to make a MV for Sour Candy and that alone would've tripled its streams with ease... Instead they chose 911 and then just tease us for the rest of the year with SC MV rumors. They could've made it pre-TCB too, or any other MV for that matter... 

It takes only a few filming days for Gaga to be in the set so... she could easily do it while preparing for Joker2

Agreed. But it’s clear it either didn’t work out and or she just didn’t want to do it. Idk man. Unless she says something, it’s all a guessing game and in the past.

Still doing fine stable daily streams. It will end up as a fan favorite, it's good. I'm sure she has stuff on the album that will hit harder in numbers

But Gaga wanted that IF there's a video of Sour Candy, all of them to be in the same frame, and due to Covid, at the time (mid-2020) it was impossible without previous quarantine after travelling across countries.

They waited and since the Covid measures were still going strong, they decided to push the next most streamed non-single track from the album - 911. 911 didn't become a hit, so they stopped releasing more singles/MVs.

I view this really simple. Then in late 2020 a family member of hers (speculated to be Cynthia's mom) got hospitalised because of Covid (we know Gaga takes things like this seriously), so her mind wasn't in promoting the album.

Then the streams declined, and she was fully invested into HoG, so I guess there was no point at doing a large promo for Chromatica anymore.

This makes no sense imo, how is it any good marketing? Alice was right there and it would've been a hit for sure, they just give up immediately if one single underperforms, which is so dvmb in the long run. Gotta push as many singles as possible so the album will have longevity through streams.

But obviously it's not the way record labels think. BTW had so much potential (like Gaga said she wanted 9-10 singles), but MTN underperformed and they stopped releasing more.

Same with ARTPOP, GUY flopped, so that was it.

I think it also has to do with ROM getting only #10 on Pop radio, considering it was with Ariana, coming from her biggest era and had very good radio airplay.

Interscope was still satisfied that they got a #1 single, #1 album, ROM won a Grammy so it was a satisfying era.

I mean we got platinum album, a multi-platinum big hit, another top 5 song approaching multiplatinum certification. And it was actually slightly more successful than ARTPOP (at the beginning), sold more units first week than Joanne/ASIB/ARTPOP/C2C in the U.S..

Chromatica didn't flop.
