Also, just a reminder that Lady Gaga in the year 2025... CURRENTLY, AS WE SPEAK... has the #1 SONG on the BILLBOARD HOT 100 (that has been there for 5 weeks counting)... just in case this fanbase has forgotten to count our blessings.

If you look at the daily streams, Abra is declining fast and barely performing on par with other tracks. If you look at Gaga’s track record, It is outperforming her standards.

It’s just her standards are slightly underwhelming for the bigger landscape in music. I think that’s why fans are frustrated with it and maybe the perception is sometimes skewed. It depends if you look at it from a macro or micro level. Although Spotify users have grown and if you make that adjustment, Abra is not wildly over performing either. 

How is going from 5.9 to 5.4 declining fast 

The slight decrease is okey, it had an initial boost because GP loves it but 5M updates are fine.

DWAS a smash - nah it’s not a solo hit, the radio updates are meh. She’s not doing enough.

Abracadabra hits #1 on Spotify- meh just for one day? It flopped since it’s now in the lower top 10 global.

today i heard miss debra on a popular radio (Radio Carolina)  here in my country (Chile) was so strange but great bc that radio is full of reggaeton and trap music, i never heard Gaga music on the radio since like 2011 so this is MAJOR

Babes we literally had this conversation before, like yesterday or so and I WILL continue to compare it because we are still talking about a COLLAB between Gaga during Chromatica ( when she had all that INSANE hype after ASIB ) & Ariana who was literally at the peak of her career and a streaming force, so two of the biggest acts ever joining forces during the pandemic when people had nothing to do but consume content. It was also an announced release that generated a lot of media buzz and interest from the public before it’s release meanwhile Abra was a surprise for 98% of people. Not to mention how ROM is the most GP friendly pop song ever meanwhile Abra sounds like NOTHING on the charts right now. So I get your argument about Spotify being a bigger platform now but you also need a little bit more context and perspective, you can’t just ignore all the other aspects I mentioned and only focus on ONE. Abra IS outdoing ROM, I am sorry.

Lol fine if it makes u happy to compare but it makes absolutely no sense. Ur talkong apples to oranges and trying to make an apples to apples comparison then using that as an argument to drag ppl who wish it charted higher for that reaskn

 

I for one am not going to compare my 2025 income salary to how good it would have been if i earned that when I started working in 2011.

 

At the very least if u wanna make comparisons to ROM, dont use that arugument to tell ppl like me were crazy when we think its doing pretty good but not totally smashing as of now cuz to me that argument is like rehiring someone after 15 years and telling them "what? Im paying you $1 more, its more than last time". But it literally isnt

I don't get why people constantly complain about +5M Updates. That's a good number, especially for Gaga, even if you just compare it to the percentage drops that ROM or SL had. Even when comparing it to the rest of the Top 10 a few days ago, Abra may have had the biggest drop (8%) but it was also by far the newest Song on there. Of course it will take a while to stabilize. 

Just to talk about the rising number of Spotify users - three quarters of all Spotify Streams nowadays are from older music, so just cause there are more members it doesn't mean that multiple +10M Updates like DWAS does are common. Being almost at 2 weeks with no drop below 4M is excellent for a Gaga solo Single.

As long as it continues to get lots of Videos made on Instagram and Tiktok and as long as the Playlisting stays high (it's at 200M right now), I am not worried at all. Let's wait for what they have in store for us within the next 2 weeks, since the Album is coming soon and let's hope the physicals ship on March 7th for a (hopeful) cute Top 5 placement!

They are delulu  The album is doing very poorly by drake's standards, and I agree that will free fall badly in the coming weeks.

His last album "For all the boys" did 153M streams in the first 24 hours, this new album just managed 56M in the first 24 hours  More, if we compare him to his peers, he's doing very poorly, last Kendrick's album "GNX" did +70M streams in the SECOND day  It's a disaster and you love to see it

Sorry but 2025 numbers are not as different to 2020's as you are implying. Soecially when you compare numbers for the same artist. Taking again Bad Bunny as an example, he debuted #1 this year with around 12% more streamings than in 2020. That's roughly what numbers have grown.

At worst Abra is doing on pair with ROM, but with a higher peak in total streamings.

#7 on AM pop live charts in the US, it’s starting to drop pretty decently. This is unaffected by Drake or Kendrick since it’s just pop songs, it was top 3 for the majority of the week prior to this recent decrease in position.
