Just a reminder that Kendrick succeeding isn't directly impacting Gaga's numbers, it's just making them look relatively smaller.

 

Kendrick or not, we doing fine, really no need to get worked up over him. He has very little to do with Gaga.

I’m sorry but its not looking amazingly well. I think yhe song wont stabilize with enough streams to reach a decent peak after this week’s chart. It will hit #12-13 on and slow down until release week, which will, at best, bring it back up to a top 15.

Gaga is very promo sensitive, but the promos spots lined up won’t help as much. Hot ones while very good for album content, wont move much for the song because there isn’t a performance here. 

SNL will work but the boost won’t be considerable.

She needs an actual performance with huge audience or physical sales, but with Kendrick, and Drake dropping this week, it wont challenge. And during album release week, they can drop the physicals, but by then the song will possibly have dropped farther down the charts so the climb back up will be harder. I say we call it and just enjoy the fact that this song performed better than Disease and its just a cute little moment for the era. It’s enough to defend as a moderate hit and for Grammy effects later on, it made the noice it needed to make. 

Plus the song is amazing and this album is bound to be insanely successful

This is true! But we also cannot ignore that the song is slowing down rapidly. 
 

However, perspective wise it is skewed. The song would not have drop down as much down the charts if it weren’t for Kendrick. If the Song doesn’t stabilize or grow by Friday > Saturday update, then that’s the definitive nail in the coffin

Hard disagree on this. 
 

The song is still freshly released. A lot of people have yet to discover it. 
We don’t know what promo spots they booked for the album release week so it makes no sense to even talk about it.

Z100 has seemingly put it on power rotation without waiting for callout scores, lot of small radio stations will follow. 
Radio is huge for charts and we still can’t predict where will it end up on radio charts. 
DWAS debuted around #30 on radio callout scores, everyone here had a meltdown and months after that it’s #1 overall. 
 

Let’s enjoy all the content we will soon get and everything else will be okey

Nah, with radio picking up , and it likely peaking in streams for album launch, there’s no way the song stops at #12 at its peak. Gaga will have a couple songs on the top 10 on the h100, especially since she’s dropping in March away from Drake and Kendrick’s push.

Yes you are right! Depending on what promo spots and plans they have by album release week, things could turn around. But they DO need to have something lined up. If there’s no more tactics planned as of now, its leaning towards a slow decline. 
 

I have faith thats not the case though. They seem much more invested this time around.

Even if this was true, how is #12-13 not a decent peak? Disease hit #27 and then never got that high again, and here we’re talking about a song climbing to almost top ten. That’s a huge improvement, and we don’t know what will happen in weeks to come. It could still climb if it keeps climbing on radio.

Its a decent peak! I agree. Slightly less than predictions but decent. It would be nice tho to see it perform better considering that the reason it is not, its because of outside factors like the super bowl. For once it would be nice to not have a crazy scenario push us down

Z100 already putting is on PR and Gaga having two songs on PR is amazing! Also Interscope is investing in the hype

Some of you guys care far too much about peaks.

It's 2025, not 2013 please!

Remember "Stupid Love" reached top 5 on Billboard and now 5 years on it's struggling in streams. And then you have "ARUTW", "Bloody Mary" which are having solid longevity even though they didn't debut high.

They surely have. Gaga seems happy to do promo this time around ( probably in a good mental spot, thank God). 
 

It think there will be a lot promo once we get closer to March. But it’s already happening: SNL50, Hot ones ( dropping in minutes)
