Daily (deserved) complaint: why didn’t they make VIY a single?  It could’ve been one of Gaga’s classics quite easily, it’s like BR and ARUTW’s baby.

Everytime I go back to it, I can’t help but feel almost angry and sad and think “why isn’t this on power rotation?” Sure, it most likely wouldn’t have charted high on the BBH100 but that’s a useless metric for global success.

The DWAS-Disease-Abracadabra run was a massive serve, we should all be thankful for that. At least I am, that’s for sure. But why stop there when VIY is right there, waiting for you crying out? It’s like stopping The Fame era after LoveGame instead of releasing Paparazzi. It makes no sense and is deeply shocking and hurting for humanity.

Ga not pushing a single, ANY song, along the album release is the biggest mistake of the whole rollout. looking back on it, i do wonder if they prioritized Abra longevity over another video+single, or they had other reasons behind doing what they did.

There is literally no reason for not pushing any new single. 
Yes nothing really stood out as a global smash song but it surely would carry the album momentum over the summer. 
 

If they don’t release a deluxe version or EP over the fall - the next Grammy season will be ruff for little monsters since I doubt she’ll win anything. Maybe Abra gets that Dance song new Grammy thing

Seeing people keep commenting that not releasing another single is a mistake is so weird. Have y’all even considered that maybe that’s just not what she wants or prioritizes? Yes past gaga did care about chart success, but I feel like she doesn’t care that much in this era anymore. (like if they were really chasing numbers and charts, they would’ve released physical cds/vinyl for disease and abra, or pushed more radio play from the beginning.)

She seems so confident and at peace with her music and herself in this era that she doesn’t need those numbers. (dwas getting big is just a cherry on top.) We’re seeing a grown-up and more mature artist, we should be happy and proud that she’s reached this point in her career.

And if some of you just wanted her to release another single to get a music video, I believe she’s prioritizing the world tour instead to give us equally amazing visuals. (but who knows maybe I’m wrong here, maybe we’ll get a surprise mv in the future)

100% VIY is her biggest missed opportunity for a single, it wouldn’t have peaked high, but neither did ARUTW, Bloody Mary, etc
