Right now, radio is the biggest hurdle for Abracadabra to peak.

I can't believe Skinny, Dessicated and Dry managed to peak #40 in the radio and Abracadabra peaked #51. Why are radio stations' priorities this funked up?

There is a silver lining here. If that song managed to peak #40, Abracadabra can atleast go top 30, so that it can re-enter Top 20 in Billboard Hot 100.

Ageism is starting to hit. There are people both online and in person that have said that they think topics in songs like Zombieboy are her "trying to be young". She can get hits still, but like with Madonna at this point in her career social standards means that she has to be more careful with single and song choices. I hate it here.

EDIT: I know people will say "Die With A Smile" but that features a man, and men don't get ageism nearly as bad as women.

Blade Of Grass: 230,186 (+21,239)

Poor thing! I really hope Gaga includes Blade Of Grass and Happy Mistake in her Coachella and Gagacabana setlist. It will give these slept-on ballads a much deserved boost!

I think they should give time for Abra to gain on radio and get a nice boost from Coachella and then push Vanish Into You as the next single mid-late April time. It’s a classic and if she promotes it right, I don’t she why it couldn’t be another top 20 hit for her. She can’t not let this be a single!!

HBDUWM clearly has the attention of the locals so why not release it as a summer anthem (July/August time) and then release Zombieboy in time for Halloween and knab another Halloween classic for her. Both could become moderate hits for her if she/her team play her cards right. The love for both tracks is clearly there, especially given the Zombieboy hype on TikTok.

If she wants to milk the era dry, I don’t see why she couldn’t release Shadow of a Man (ft. Janet Jackson) or Garden of Eden (ft. The Weeknd)  in January 2026 and perform it at the Grammys. That would be epic and the feature would draw attention to a new version but I understand how delusional this all is. :laughga:

I decided to do some... investigating regarding radio today.

Abracadabra sits at 51 on the overall radio chart. Here is the interesting part... Abracadabra has been on the charts for 34 days. There is only one other song in the top 50 of overall radio that has been charting for less than 40 days. Abra is actually doing relatively well on radio when we take this into consideration.

Abra is having a slow but steady increase. Every single song grows slowly on US radio these days. We should be thankful that callouts for this song are decent, thats paves the way for debby having a future on radio.

So everyone hold your horses.

Without Playboi Carti Abra would still be top 30 on the Hot 100 and Garden Of Eden would’ve stuck for a second week :fthis:

A hard pill to swallow but I am so so so thankful that last week Gaga was essentially the only major release and we got 10 songs to chart

I think HBDUYM and VIY should be the singles in that order even though GOE is pulling the biggest numbers. At this stage in the album cycle they need to get people to listen to the album who haven’t yet, promote the tour when it’s announced, and eventually promote the album for Grammys.

HBDUYM appeals to younger Gen Z’s and girls who didn’t grow up with Gaga and tune into the album yet. VIY appeals to older audiences who may like Gaga because of her ballads and Grammy voters. GOE is one of my fav on the albums but is very gay and millennial coded, not sure it will bring new audiences to Mayhem and add anything commercially getting the single treatment

We also haven’t had two post album singles since BTW so this probably won’t happen anyway :huntyga:

I really agree with you. I think HBDUWM should really be the next single - especially in the united states. It has some potential to take off.

I dont think Garden of Eden really has to be a single. It can just be a very popular album track that racks up some streams. Would be great to eventually have a mv for both tho.

Still would have Renaissance numbers with only 13 tracks

I would actually really like to have renaissance numbers. Those songs had legs. 13/16 songs from renaissance crossed 100M streams on spotify. Almost all of them are probably eligible for gold.
