it’s plateauing on radio. Next week is either make it or break it for Abracadabra and it’s radio performance.

I don’t think that’s the case. Songs linger for so long now without peaking for several months. I wouldn’t be surprised if it continued to do what it’s doing for a long time.

That’s quite the definition of plateauing :vegas:

It keeps managing these cute new peaks so I’m quite happy if it keeps doing that for a few weeks!

Hang up Debra and let’s go with songs that have radio-friendly choruses about love - GOE, Vanish Into You, LoveDrug, How Bad, Zombie…

Gaga is not cute, she is elite. And she deserves singles from this album to do well. Death to radio

Oh I agree with you! Radio is unfair. The worst part is, most women Gaga’s age would not be able to get a single into the top 20 on pop radio at all, even with something radio-friendly. So she’s doing really good even though it’s not the massive fast-growing airplay we wish it was.

Abra should’ve been single #1 if she wanted to take a risk and get some payola. She just needs to pick the right song that aligns with current radio & streaming climate— I think it has less to do with her age. Give them something easy and sweet, not a (glorious) noisy dance record.

I wonder if it’s the only 2000s song that is still charting globally?

idk if I completely agree. It take so much longer for songs to grow on radio now than it did a decade or even five years ago. Part of me thinks that abra still has a decent shot at its radio potential. Good callout scores, 700k tiktoks. Both of these factors should lead radio stations to recognize that people like the song.

This isn't a winning strategy. Songs take so much longer to build up these days. Giving up on abra now is wasting so much potential. The goal is to get the song to chart for as long as possible. A later radio peak will actually help this. I'd love to see 30 weeks for abra on the hot 100. If Abra could go top 15 or top 10 on overall radio in the next few months, It'd be great.

Although, I think releasing a new mv/ sending a new song to radio around coachella wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Still a strong update, we can expect a small increase tomorrow (friday update), we barely lost 100K streams and DWAS reaches 152 days at 1.

predict +19M unfiltered today (stable)

There's several (+10), mostly at the end of the chart.
