At this point, she won't be breaking records for album sales so she might as well push for prestige (and hit singles). She has plenty of material and single choices off Mayhem. I think his album is very mid (3-4 great songs but that's about it imo) Critic reviews wise, I think his album is very much on pair with Mayhem (if it wasn't for the Slant Magazine review, the albums would have around the same score on Metacritic). Our chances will all depend on competition in all fields... E.g. if Kendrick has competition from another 1-2 albums in the same genre, then his votes will get split Same with Gaga, if another strong pop album gets released before the cut off date (Harry Styles, I'm watching you), then the pop votes could get split too. Imo a lot of luck is involved with AOTY as there are so many variables... It’s really Kendrick and Kanye (prob not anymore) and one-offs throughout the years.
