She might even slip down to 4/5. She is SMASHING the albums chart! Just look at the difference between Mayhem and the rest of the top 5. Chromatica did 53k first week so it’s potentially going to beat that. Edited March 10 by whoresup 8 1 1

HBDUWM is risk adverse and is a good choice for those who don’t traditionally listen to Lady Gaga outside of maybe Shallow, Just Dance and DWAS. It seems like the best choice for a hit and a solo one at that. I think Zombieboy has also resonated very well and would do good as a subsequent single in late summer/fall with a VMA performance to peak around Halloween. It is the most fun song on the album and has a lot of viral/tik tok appeal to it. While also echoing thriller in a sense. Maybe have Vanish Into You as the final single. That way if it flops it doesn’t halt momentum of the album/single era. Vanish Into You is far from a risk. Edit the intro to not be a jump scare on radio and there you go. It’s very TEOG and Gypsy and is perfect for HAC and AC radio in the US. Also sounds like a UK and Australia smash to me British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS 1

And don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to have something like Shadow of a Man, GOE or Zombieboy but the main goal of a single is comercial success and I want the most possible success for her. I also think LoveDrug would make a great single. The melody that you choose can rescue you 4 1

metalguru 1,553
HBDUWM has nothing to do with core Gaga sound and isn't an experiment either, so I'd be so sad if it ends up a single... 1

This song is clearly for the moment the one who stands alone in streams and showing more interest from GP, they will definitely go for this one at a moment. It would just like Billie Eilish ignoring BOAF or Wildflower trending after album release tbh

I fought liking How Bad for a day or two (for all the obvious reasons) but now I am a full blown stan. And it IS the perfect driving song (along with LoveDrug).
andy232000 11,128
When does HDD post new predictions for albums? Do we think the original 200-225 will rise? If it doesn't, damn ma it flopped a little. At least the music is stellar
ceminay 979
I think Vanish Into You should be the next single, mostly because it's a song that represents the album more than previous singles, GOE or HBDUWM. Zombieboy is great but I don't see it becoming a single. I wouldn't be mad if VIY, GOE, HBDUWM or Love Drug became single. Honestly, any song on this album could be a single, which makes this decision extremely hard...
