Codboy Carter did 70M but it had 27 songs. The Weeknd did 50M this year with 22 songs. Its a perfect october single, after the vmas and right before halloween. But based on first day streams, Shadow of a Man is way lower than GoE or VIY. While DWAS has been huge, I just don’t think there’s much of a transfer from those listeners to the album, and even though Abracadabra has done so well, it’s an obscure song that a lot of people just won’t connect with. Disease as we know just isn’t palatable for most people We can’t really be comparing to Taylor/Billie who have such a more widespread sound These numbers are fantastic!
