Lady Gaga's Youtube channel reaches 26,6M subs, that's a rise of 400k since the realease of Abracadabra, matching the numbers of January or December (400k each month) in just 10 days

Hold'em Texas was having even lower streaming numbers than Abracadabra when it peaked #1. In the third week, we'll have more radio play so it'll compensate if the streaming numbers decrease.

Also, Kendrick and SZA songs will free fall after this week.

Why is everyone freaking out? It's only not going top ten because Kendrick's Superbowl bump was WAY bigger than anyone thought. It's nothing to do with Abra underperforming. It's just a bad luck/bad timing thing. That's all.

Not worth it. Between the always shifting goalposts and inability to apply even the most basic common sense, this “fanbase” is exhausting.

Amazing how quickly they’ll tell you Million Reasons can’t be called a hit because she performed it at the SuperBowl, yet they just can’t understand how or why Abracadabra is going to be able to rise so much higher in the UK this week compared to the US.

It’s a real head scratcher.

Hitbracadabra debuted Top 10 on the biggest chart (Billboard Global) with only 4 days of sales + streaming. 

Rising next week on Hot 100 (USA only) without physical copies. 

I know a hit when it's a hit. and it's Abracadabra.

If I could impart one bit of wisdom to this fandom (as someone who's been a chartster since 2009), it would be that we all need to recognize that individual actions of Stans or things like streaming parties are not as powerful as we think they are. I wish I could find it, but Stan-Wars.com used to have a fantastic article on how stans greatly overestimate their own influence on charts and sales. Poker Face, Shallow, and Bad Romance are career-defining successes and cultural moments because the general public was exposed and interested, not because stans streamed/bought as much as they could. As hard as it is to admit, we need to recognize that our individual stan power on Gaga's success is very limited, and we are mostly spectators to her success.
 

Miss Debra is predicted to go to 12 not because US monsters aren't streaming enough (which, btw, all the US gays are living for this song and are definitely streaming it); it's predicted to do so because Kendrick Lamar had a highly influential Super Bowl halftime show, and he has a handful of songs surging in the Top 10. Likewise, given that Gaga and Kendrick are on the same label, it is not in the interest of interscope to pull out all stops on Gaga at this moment. They're likely playing the long game going into the release week.

Also, my message is for Chartsters in general, not you specifically, dear SlaeUrAnus.

Regardless if the chart numbers make us excited, I have not seen a Gaga song impact the pop zeitgeist like Abracadabra has probably since Born This Way. It’s a hit.

I only things to be positive about regarding Abra’s commercial situation. Even if it’s not able to be the biggest smash of the year like DWAS, it’s already doing way better than Disease. I thought DWAS might have to carry the era alone, but Abra is clearly going to be at least some kind of hit.

This is where things like Hot Ones or the SNL special can be valuable because it makes her "current" and "cool". We also know, albeit anecdotally, that Abracadabra has gotten a warm reception with the GP so we just have to wait and see if it's eventually rewarded with airplay.
