I mean its both

Those of us (I am among them) that think Bruno disproportionately carries the streaming force a little harder arent necessairily saying that Gaga doesnt carry a lot of punch as well and made the song what it is

Just that in terms of GP interest and streaming force, Brunos share of the weight is probably more than 50%

His consistently higher monthly spotify listeners, higher number of #1s hits and overall GP interest towards Bruno does in fact he suggest he has slightly more commercial power than Gaga. Dunno why its so bad to admit that

Of course they both carried. It is just funny to see always the same people online making it like Gaga is some kind of irrelevant small size artist begging anyone for extra streams. When she totally carries her own success.

The only thing her haters can 100% appreciate is Lady Gaga's messy management because Disease was certainly an easy top 10 contender, if only her team was smart enough to push some merch, physical copies of the single and music video released on first day.

I agree overall.

Im just saying your reply seemed to imply we were proven wrong about Bruno disproportionately carrying a bit more of the commercial hit factor because his other collab is debuting less strong

That doesnt mean anything. Thinking Bruno was was slightly higher streaming force does not mean Gaga didnt also carry or contribute. Literally almost no one is saying that. Of course Gaga pulls in more listeners than this other Red artist I virtually never heard of

So i dont get what ur point was

This always made me wonder. Woman's world had GUY level of success but they still released two more singles to promote the album even though they didn't even chart :yennefer: Interscope didn't even try to release 911 as a proper single like SL and ROM, it just has a music video and some remixes. If sent to radios and had physicals like Bloody Mary, it would've atleast entered the Billboard.

I agree with the last part.

Woman's world was the lead single, I suppose they didn't want the album to have only one single, why not try more and try to capitalize on the album? I guess they wanted to release something that sticks to people until the album release, something that would attract attention and prepare them for the album (generate more interest for "sales"). They saw it didn't work and gave up releasing singles with videos.

Imagine if Interscope stopped after SL underperformed. It is not the practice.

911 wasn't even pushed as a single in the first place, they just released a mv

Actually in the paid promotion stories on social media at the time IT WAS called single and it was released as such in Italy and France. I've heard it on the radio here in North Macedonia at that time, but since we're a small country [for the business] it was not reported. I agree it was not a full single in the US as it was not sent to radios.

The song also had like 3 remixes (+ some called "edits" of the same remixes) to promote it + it had a short live performance at the VMAs. It would've been released/pushed earlier had it not coincidented closely to 9/11. It was confirmed the video was shot and ready earlier, but would've been insensitive to be released closely to such tragic event anniversary.

Agree with everything BUT

Music videos are expensive, some being over a million $.
Yes, simple ones are cheaper but still over 100k$.

Someone would say Disease got s simple MV, but that set, video production and most probably 3 days of filming costed a lot.

No record label will finance a MV just to get a little boost in streaming

No way simple MVs are over $100k, something like BDR and Eh Eh were definitely less. Or the Gypsy MV that was, for some reason, unreleased :alsemanche:

And many small artists release cool MVs with small budget. And YT views and boost to streaming would pay the cost in the long run anyway...
