After being with it for a while I will say it's my fave album of hers, if you add the bonus tracks it's truly an immaculate well thought out piece of work!

Visually speaking, yea it's kind of like Harlequin where you think you're getting something but you get something completely different, but at the same time I now understand why the standard cover is the cover and not the other ones cause it's the most neutral. And funily each of the covers represent one part of the album.

Overall it's my fave album since ARTPOP, it has the GAGA esence, it has a vision and it's progressive for her art and I'm glad she still has this in her after all this time. To take control of the music and create something authentic to her.

I need a bit more time with it, to see what she does with the music but it might outdo Born this way and TFM for me in terms of loving the music.

The somewhat mixed response by fans has me feeling like I’m taking crazy pills. This is a masterpiece and all I’ve ever wanted from her

Vanish Into You is possibly my favorite song Gaga has ever made. It’s the first song since Bad Romance that just really captures the exact lens that I view romanticism. I know the context of the song and how sad it really is, but the idea of wanting to vanish into someone you love is exactly how I feel when I have ever been in love. And it’s such a dangerous concept because somewhere along the way you lose your own identity within the relationship. And somewhere along that journey something that comes off deeply romantic oftentimes creates “mayhem” (humor me). 
 

the songwriting on Mayhem is the best of her career and I never thought she’d outdo Born This Way in that way because from Joanne/Chromatica I kind of accepted the idea that maybe songwriting just wasn’t where Gaga would shine. Totally blown away. 
 

and above all, I am so happy to see Gaga where she is now personally. I’ve always wanted the best for her & it’s so nice to see her actually seeming to have fun being a pop star and also being happy in her personal life.

My purple one from her site I got via a Spotify link shipped coming by weds. But the other two like the signed one from the moments after the preorder started still haven’t shipped. Wearing my Mayhem shirt today though. 

I’ve woken up to both my vinyl and signed CD having shipped. Tracking not working yet though.

Is it sinking in yet? That this is actually her best work ever…. 

I think the problem is no one is actually believing how good it is… its a ****ing gem and id go as far to say that we need to stop comparing it to her other albums  and start placing it somewhere in the top 10 of best albums of all time. I’m talking Thriller, Rumours, Blackout etc.
