Why should she ever address it? The only one who needs to do that is Todd, the actors aren't in control of how they're directed and edited, it all rests on the director's shoulders. And if he doesn't say anything, why should she? I've never seen an actor being forced to demand an explanation behind a bad film they've been in. If it was the case, Adam Sandler would be doing more apologising than acting. And it's all very well for an actor not to take themselves seriously but when you know your acting was genuinely good but it's being cited as the worst, you have every right to feel offended.

It certainly was. There's a reason Cate Blanchett's up for her first ever Razzie with this role. I think the ultimate honours should go to Madame Web, though. Even Dakota couldn't take that movie seriously, she was basically making fun of it during the entire promo trail, there's even a compilation on YouTube of her not taking this movie seriously. When even the lead actress can't take it seriously, you have to give them the worst acting award.

Yes they do. Just look at the acting nominees for the last few ceremonies. Not all of them were from the movies nominated for worst picture, it's usually half in half, some are from the worst of the year, others are from random movies as well. They won't nominate you unless your acting is genuinely bad. The fact Gaga is nominated is a mixture of giving in to the fanboy hate train and just all-round disrespect for someone who isn't a full-time actor. Taking out annoyance for a bad movie on the perfectly decent actors is just rude. It's like, put it up for worst screenplay, director and movie but if there was one area it wasn't lacking, it was acting. They just didn't want to play fair.

They had Oscar wins beforehand, though. That's why they were able to accept them with such bravado. Actors who haven't been highly decorated with major awards previously don't want to accept them for a reason. They've utterly disrespected Gaga and Joaquin by nominating them when they don't deserve it. They shouldn't have to laugh along with the joke at their expense.

Yeah it doesnt look like their being genuine here. The movie may have been bad but their acting was not (supposibly, I actually have yet to see the movie)

 

It looks like they are nominating them just cuz they were in the badly received movie which isnt fair. If they did their parts well, nominate the movie and director not the dam actors!

Without a previous acting win to back her up, Gaga's acting career could suffer considerably if she wins this. The Razzies used to be about nominating performances that were legit bad. Now they're just nominating for the hell of it.

If the movie sweeps, there's something seriously wrong. And personal. I can only imagine that anyone who says it deserves to sweep is not familiar with Borderlands and Madame Web. That worst actress Razzie is Dakota Johnson's to lose and she's won Razzies before, as has Jennifer Lopez. Gaga is literally the least credible option in this nominees list.

I'm tired of people saying that Gaga's just signing up for Oscarbait. That's the whole point of being an actor, to sign up to the best projects. With HoG, it was filled with Oscar nominees and winners, so who would turn that down? And this was the sequel to a mega hit that will allow Gaga to do her full-time profession of singing showtunes, she'd be a fool to turn that down. It's not her fault if she wasn't directed right or the script changed, all that is out of an actor's control. She showed up and did her job wonderfully every time and just has bad luck.

Yeah, these actress noms are stupid, and Gaga, Cate, Bryce don't deserve it, except maybe Dakota, who clearly didn't take it that serious and I doubt she was actually that bad in Madame Web. Same for J.Lo who I'm sure was perfectly serviceble, but the Razzie's haven't had the balls to nominate actual bad performances for quite some time.
