ivxn 130
So, I have my flights and my shared bed at some random hostel booked, neither the show nor the tour is confirmed by her but I'm already seeking for some nice fan surprises. As it's expected at least 2M people maybe some sings would't do This would be the first time I see her live as she came to Argentina in 2012? but my mom would'nt let me go 'cuz she's religious asf. Now I'm a grown messy adult with erratic financial moves but wanna make this trip worth it <3 Are you guys coming? Or just waiting for the whole tour dates? Are we expecting some gaga raves the friday before, even the same day? Edited 3 hours ago by ivxn

bionic 44,266
In a crowd of 2 million I don't think there's much you can do to surprise her unless youre right upfront buy bionic
Hennycomb 3,244
I already booked everything. I'm so excited, I think about it almost every day. About surprises, I recently saw an image of Madonna's stage during the day and was surprised the stage is very far away from the "fence" in the first row. There's like a huge space that looks to be the VIP area very close to the stage and the "free area" starts very far away from the stage. Plus the huge crowd, it would probably be hell to organize something and very difficult for it to payoff. XXEENN 1,028
I really want to go, it would be a show of a lifetime, but for a European this trip is very costly so I might wait and hope that she has a tour with a similar concept this year

She always goes to Europe with her tours. I don't think the show being one of a kind makes up for the cost and the difficulties. But if you have money to spare, come and enjoy the show with us, it will be amazing. Edited 7 hours ago by Hennycomb

Spacing wise from what I remember it was very similar to the layout of the barriers at most festivals. It's to create the safety space needed, space for the tracks for film equipment, plus the space is also about making the stage visible from the front row based on its height.

Oh got it, it makes sense. I was kinda surprised by the space, maybe I got confused and it was just a fence to make sections for crowd control. Were there sections dividing the crowd in spaces to avoid "crushing"? Or was it just one big area and everyone respected each other? ivxn 130
Spoiler That's a huuuge vip area lol, but it seems like you can get pretty close if you come 2 hours early, even if you stay near the water. Don't see other barriers tho. 15 minutes ago, Hennycomb said: For Brazilians this show will be an opportunity of a lifetime, but for you guys I think it borders a little bit into wasted money. From what I remember the beach was sectioned as well, so where the big screens and speakers were on towers up the beach was a fencing line seperating the section. I presume it was a crowd control thing to prevent crowd surges etc.

But maybe Brazilian monsters could start a campaign for Rio de Janeiro City Hall to display a welcome message at some tourist spot, like the Sugarloaf Mountain or other location? I think it’s possible, I mean even the rector of the Christ the Redeemer Sanctuary authorized a tribute for Taylor. I won’t accept anything less for Gaga

OH damn, I'd only seen the pics from later on when the show had started. Yeah that's definitely a VIP area on top of the usual production & safety areas. I don't think that just two hours in advance will guarantee a good spot I remember that at Madonna's concert people were camping on the beach for days to secure a nice spot. Because I spent around 600 dollars (3.300 BRL) for flights and Airbnb and I'm going from 2 states of distance, like 1 thousand kilometers. I chose more expensive flights because of landing time BUT still, appears to be cheaper coming from another country in LATAM. I'm surprised, maybe something to do with our economy and different currencies?
Neroneau 943
My plan is to get to rio the morning of , and leave the next day . I’m told I should stay longer but honestly I’m not interested. I do hope arriving the morning of the concert day is enough to have a good spot where I can see Gaga . Anyone else has such a hop in hop out plan and what do u think of that ?
