they also shut down the CBP one app that was used for LEGAL immigration , Elon wanted it shut down cuz he said they were being sent to Democratic strongholds to vote, but illegal citizens cannot vote :messga:.

I'm not American and I'm not a legal scholar, but I've read Trump's order and my layman's impression is that it's bs.

The Constitution says 'All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside'.

As far as I can see, Trump's order essentially classifies the children of illegal immigrants as not being 'subject to the jurisdiction thereof' and therefore not citizens. But the order seems to just arbitrarily make that classification, it doesn't make any argument as to why those children should be so classified. I would have thought that if you are in the country you are automatically subject to its jurisdiction (unless you're a foreign diplomat).

So to me it looks like bs, but if it goes to the Supreme Court what they will be looking at is the meaning of the phrase 'subject to the jurisdiction of'. Do they have any wriggle room there ?
