Look no one here is saying that countries like Cuba are perfect states and citizens there are treated like unicorns running in fields of gold. They are dictatorships and all dictatorships oppress their citizens in some way (often many ways). 

We're just pointing out what political ideologies actually are in detail. Anyone can claim a label for themselves and still be nothing like the meaning of that label. The Nazis were "National-Socialists" but their economic policies were nothing like the political economies of Socialist political thought. 

There's never been a communist country, because countries cannot exist under communism. Because the basic requirement of communist organisation of society is self-governance. Every communist party led nation has failed to bring about communism, because the second they got power they embraced authoritarnism and state bureacracy. And with the exception of North Korea, every communist party led nation that still is led by a nominally communist party has opened up its economy to varying extents to competition.
