They had Best Original Song right there but they fumbled it. A nom for acting could still be in there but it would be so unexpected. Tbh, I rewatched Wicked and Emilia Perez and I don't think those performances are worthy of a nom  I still cringe a bit when I see a Selena scene on Twitter or Tiktok . To me Zoe Saldaña is winning that category and Saoirse Ronan could get a spot in there

I liked the movie overall ahaha but could have definitely received a few nominations, in particular Miss Shyamalan's acting skills as Lady Raven

The jokes on them really because either way, people are watching it because its amazing, or because they want to see how bad it is according to Razzies. Promo is promo

Was really outraged and then realised it's just a shortlist. But they better not lampoon this film, it doesn't deserve it as opposed to the turkeys it's up against. JFAD ties for third most nominated film in this shortlist with 7 noms, a 5 way tie shared with Unfrosted, Kraven The Hunter, Madame Web and Borderlands. Then Reagan has 9 noms, Megalopolis has 10. Putting all that into consideration, along with films outside this bunch, it's highly unlikely it's going to sweep the nominations. That much of a tie and movies that did worse suggest those noms will be unequally shared out and it will be unlikely to get in the top 5 in any category. Still sucks that they gave in to butthurt comic book fanboys by even considering it for acting awards, however. It was widely agreed by critics that the acting was not the problem, Gaga's acting in particular was praised. To nominate Joaquin, who won an Oscar for his portrayal in the first film and performs exactly the same in the sequel, is just downright disrespectful and rage bait. I know some of you say you'd like to see Gaga accept (only 16 people have ever accepted their award and just 2 of them are women) but I feel like that's fair enough when you know your acting was bad. Gaga's was good and she knows it. The critics know it. It would just feel disingenuous for her to be fine with it.

On the whole, I feel the Razzies have their place - for nominating truly terrible movies. JFAD was not terrible. Under-par/mediocre/disappointing does not equate to terrible. They can take it too far sometimes and like picking on some people, particularly if they're not a full-time actor. That's why they've loved nominating Madonna, J-Lo and Paris Hilton over the years. You can bet they'd be slamming Gaga's turn on every movie if she weren't so good. You can see they were testing the waters with that by nominating her for Machete Kills. If there's one thing the Razzies have never understood, it's camp acting. They like giving nominations for these kinda roles all the time when it's obvious that being ridiculous and over dramatic is the entire point. I'm still amazed they didn't nominate her for HOG seeing as it was campy in places. But I thought it was because they'd built up a respect for her. So much for that.
