In The Zone is her best album

Britney Jean would’ve been solid if it were strictly just an EP. (Alien, Work Bitch, Perfume, Now That I Found You)

Blackout is a solid album but overrated

Circus is quite underrated

Glory is her 3rd best album

POM residency is among her best shows behind DWAT, Onyx hotel & Circus tours.

I’ll be honest.

Britney Jean > Glory

I'm not the biggest fan of tropical house.

Honestly think I might agree with this and I loved Glory. Something about Britney Jean though :bradley:

Another opinion:

This is her best song:

And this is her second best song:

Her voice on these trancy dance tracks is just *chef's kiss*

She is the second best popstar of all time, after Gaga. Britney is the Ultimate Popstar Blueprint / Business Model for how to develop, market and sell a modern female popstar.

When i think about the prototype of what a blonde popstar should be, i think Britney is the standard. She embodies pop music at its core.

But at the same time she is kinda basic, cookie cutter, manufactured, corporate in a way , but she does it so well. She is like some kind of robot AI popstar.

I think Britney is still a more interesting artist than Taylor, Sabrina, and all those other lackluster, random boring people keep trying to hype up as good pop.

Most pop music feels so bland and generic, but Britney's stuff is actually interesting. Britney has some really weird productions when it comes to Mainstream Pop Music.

Her productions have always treaded the line between progressive , experimental, cutting-edge and mainstream corporate pop music ...

Honestly, she feels like the OG of hyperpop, kinda laying the groundwork for artists like Charli XCX. She is the basis/prototype of a robotic popstar. She kinda paved the way for the hyperpop sound.

It's like she mixed the experimental with the mainstream trends, Britney always pushed the envelope and boundaries of pop sound and made it weirder.

Songs like “Piece of Me” and “Radar” are so cool and weird: mechanical, synthetic, cold, soulless, robotic, and kinda eerie. Only Britney could drop tracks like that and have them smash the Billboard charts.

The way the songs are arranged and the way her vocals are overprocessed to death, autotuned, vocoded and stuff, it's very proto-hyperpop to me. Piece of Me is deliberately robotic and soulless, which is genius.

The song is about how the industry takes away your soul and she sings it in an intriguing mono tone, as if she doesn't care about what she's saying. This song is the opposite of warm, it's very synthetic and cold. I love it.  They basically mangle her voice like it's some instrument. It's genius to me.

Britney paved the way for so many artists and set a standard of production quality (both music and visual) that all female artists to this very day are trying to live up to. As far as commerce & art goes. Britney was the pinnacle of what it means to be a pop star . Everyone from the Spice Girls to Destiny's Child to the entire K-pop industry is following the Britney Spears business model.

There was even a PlayStation 2 Britney video game back then, never seen that for any other popstar. She was pop culture.

Britney's team literally invented this whole merchandising business marketing thing , she was a brand like Barbie or Disney.

But Gaga will always be better , Poker Face shits on Britney's whole discography imo

Britney was just around in a very experimental period of pop & electronic music. Probably the last big expansion of musical tech we've had as since the mid 00s all new music tech has basically just been revisions of original software.

Like some of her best stuff came around the window of Fischerspooner & Electroclash having its 15mins of fame in the electronic genre and a lot of pop acts/writers were bringing that into their stuff.

I agree. I learned to listen to tropical house so I was able to appreciate Glory more, but it still sounds very same-y in my opinion.

There’s so many good songs that sound distinct on Britney Jean like Alien ❤️, Passenger ❤️, Till its Gone ❤️, Tik Tik Boom ❤️, obviously Work Bitch ❤️❤️, and songs 10-13 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

For an album that's named one of Britney’s worst, it has a lot of good songs.

Better should’ve been a summer single off Glory. Could’ve been one of her most memorable songs but they went with Slumber Party instead. :neyde:

Edit: Also, Love Me Down should’ve been a single or a video!

Overprotected original version is way better than the Darkchild remix and is her best song overall

Most of her singles are some of the best produced pop records of all time

Man on the Moon is the best song on Glory

Born To Make You Happy is top tier

Her parents/family tried the best for her, see the mess she is in right now, just look all the drama with her last “husband”. +Hopefully she can comeback one day?
