Trump has turned on 99% of everyone who's ever been in his life. 
It is not a question of if, but when. Trump & Elon will fight at some point before 2028. Because Trump will start feeling his ego come under attack from Elon's ego - especially if we have more "failures" like the recent stunt to change the spending bill seconds before it was due to meet Elon & Trump's demands. Elon got way more from that than Trump did (no debt ceiling suspension). 
Either Trump is going to push Musk out due to a fight, or Musk will walk due to a fight.
