I think I can understand those numbers. I think the animated movie is one of the best Disney movies ever, loved the musical and even though the trailer of this movie looks beautiful, I have 0 interest on watching it :fatcat:

No one asked for this 😂

Since Covid, if your movie isn’t a true event - it doesn’t do well. Remakes/requels/sequels have been gaining more and more hate because they aren’t even trying to come up with something good anymore and it falls flat. I blame the writers strike for most the stale content that has been happening over the past few years but this is also Hollywood dying out in a sense. Disney has literally been hemorrhaging money on these things and they keep pumping them out - meanwhile Neon and A24 are wiping the floor with everyone making content people wanna see and making it for a portion of the budget.

Disney still hasn't figured out that the GP is simply not here for live-actions of Disney classics

it's not even a live-action of a classic it's a live-action prequel of a live-action of a classic. even worse. :messga:

I need all remakes, prequels, and sequels to classic movies from the 80s/90s to flop and flop hard. I’m so sick of it! Make original sh*t if you want me to take my butt to the theater!!! :iamfair:

Just come out of seeing it, actually think this is really underrated! Much much better than the first remake imo, all the right feels in all the right places.

Wtf did they expect? The first movie was paned across the board. And they clearly didn't even take a sliver of constructive criticism either. Isn't it their job to give the people what they want in a movie? Wouldn't that just.. make sense?

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

There’s no hype around this one. Disney didn’t market this film like the previous so I’m not surprised. Was a really cute film!
